Initially, I wasn't all that impressed with this repaint.
I already own the ROTS red and gray version, so an Imperial repaint didn't look all that enticing...
...But, I've since changed my tune, and would have to admit that I quite like this repaint now - infact I prefer the black and gray colourscheme over the Titanium version colourscheme.
As much as I hate to admit it, I'm actually looking forward to this particular repaint, and will probably invest in it, once it hits shelves...
PS: it's also worth noting that the Imperial V-Wing, as seen on the box, actually shows the vanes protruding further out from the body of the starfighter, which is interesting considering that the regular V-Wing has these vanes closer to the body of the starfighter. The vanes out position is to prevent the fins from flicking open, if the rear engine button is pressed. Overall, the vanes-out positioning of the fins/panels gives the Imperial V-Wing more of a TIE appearance, which is interesting, IMO... This could be deliberate, or simply box art and photo of the vanes out version positioned inaccurately...
I personally like the vanes out look - other the V-Wings radials seem to close to the fuselage giving it a narrow appearance.
Just my musings...
