Imperial Probe Droid

I'd be down with a probe droid (does nobody call them probots anymore?) - do you think it'd be a bank breaker if it had a single LED? Probably too much to hope for.....
 
I'm down for a Probe Droid, I've always liked the design so it will be a welcome addition to the collection.

Ever since I was a kid I always pictured the probe droid more in 'scale' to regular person. Like I always thought of it as a smaller, 'would have been single carded figure' droid. Part of that probably stems from using FX-7 as a probe droid back in the day. So I actually kind of prefer using the 3.75" probe droid to display with my 6". That said, I love the design and would absolutely get one.
 
Height wise it's not that far off a regular person, but it's much, much deeper and wider.

I'll be done for a Probot. I can then stop using the 3.75 POTF one.
 
I'm interested, but I'll definitely be waiting to see a review video before I decide if I'll buy it. For me, the old oversized POTF2 version has been a perfect scale. Only ways Hasbro can drive up my desire for this one:

similar size to the POTF2 version
more articulated arms/"hands"
retractable antennae
flight stand that makes it sit about 8in off ground (at top of dome with antennae down)
 
Like everyone else, I wouldn't mind having two and I hope they come with clear stands as well. Like with the Interrogator droid that came with Tarkin.
 
Since, according to twitter, this is coming sooner rather than later, here's another pic I found that might help to scale it in relation to humans.... It looks to be pretty much 'person sized'.

I pulled out my POTF2 one recently to see if I could fudge it into the display, and that one comes up to just below the chin on a standard BS figure. So it's too small by quite some margin. (I've no idea how big the recent 3.75" release is next to a 6" figure, if someone has any comparison pics, I'd be curious to see them)

I have a feeling that they'll be using the same exact one for this release.
 
If it had sound effects it'd be a def buy. Probably still look to get it eventually but perhaps not an instant/preorder type of purchase.

I was using the 3.75” version last year and it is about as tall as a 6” black series figure. The main problem other than height is how much thinner it is in comparison. If you look at the prop it is very wide, much wider than a human adult. So while you can sorta get away with the 3.75” version it is not a permanent replacement with a more appropriate sized one being released soon.

Are the two roughly the same size? Or is the later one slightly larger? I've only got the 97/98 one. (Also, it's strangely grey, like the old vintage one, I assume the modern one was the correct colour?)

TBH the POTF is in a bin sealed. I guess it might be a tad bigger?
 
Mass wise I think the POTF2 is a little bigger than the forcelink. In general they look to be about the same size. Aesthetic wise the forcelink is a lot better, imo.

Hopefully that's the digital sculpt that they'll upscale. Looking forward to this one.
