My GG collection hasn't been displayed in years due to a move, apartment living then water in the basement of my house I bought. But I'm trying to change that this year. But here are some pictures of where I'm starting from.

I'll post updates as they happen. But it's going to be a slow process.

The room I'm going to set everything up in, all freshly painted and waiting for carpet and cabinets this will be my collection room.

Your current GG display looks a lot like mine. It will be fun to see how your plan turns out.

I do feel the need to point out that Oola is having a significant wardrobe malfunction!

Looking forward to seeing how you get it all displayed. Now the real fun begins. Enjoy!

I purchased my first Billy Book Shelf. I need 3 more and then I can mock set up my display and start construction on the cabinets to display the busts finally! Pics of the progress will be put up here.

First in a line of 4 I need to start building my display. In the meantime here's an updated pic of my autographed mini busts

Looking really good. Very neat idea showing the signature of the actors on the base of the busts. Looking forward to seeing your finished display!

Agreed, nice looking display and a great collection of autographs too!

Pretty sweet ! Bet they hated trying to sign those little bases though !

Only issues I've had have been with Peter Mayhew and Billy Dee Williams. Other than that, everyone else has been THRILLED to sign the bases.
it's my favorite thing to get autographed, the mini bust. So fun!

Thanks, I can't wait to get it done. I need to get back to IKEA soon. Closest one is 3 hours away... so one day I'll get there, buy the last 3 I need and be on my way. All in due time I suppose.

Thanks brother! I'm looking forward to getting more signed. Colorado Springs Comic Con will give me the opportunity to get about 3 or 4 more signed this year. And if I decide to buy the holo Maul bust, I can get that signed too. I just don't know though, I never cared for the holo busts.

That looks fantastic! Nice job!!!

Besides the look of the display unit itself, I also like the dark blue color you've chosen for the wall, against the white of the unit. It creates a very nice sea-like soothing contrast.

Thank you. This is in my office in my house. I looked up "power colors" and the dark blue was suggested and I fell in love with it and with the pop of the white trim I had on the baseboards, it worked well. Thanks again!

You're welcome. Great choice. The colors do work well together, and are very inviting. Are you planning on adding more display units to the room (other walls), in the future?

No, I don't think I'll add any more shelving units. I have one wall behind my desk for prints by Ant Lucia, and then the wall opposite the cabinets will be used for my Star Wars print collection. That pretty much covers all walls in that small office area.

Everything looks amazing! I especially love your collection of signed busts! I’m curently in the [life long] process of getting some of mine signed as well.

I would like to ask where you got the small risers that your busts sit on, as I’m forever in search of a better replacement to what I’m currently using

Honestly, I picked them up from other collectors here on rebelscum. I haven't been able to track down an actual vendor of these, so my supply kind of ran out now.

Sad news though, I might be packing all this stuff up again, and putting it in storage. I'm looking at taking a different job that will make me move overseas for a few years. Sucks, I just get everything together, and now I have to pack it all up and put it back in storage. That's terribly frustrating. Maybe one day... I can get it all back together.

Good luck on your new job. Change is good. You get to experience more, it makes you more flexible and adaptable. As long as you enjoy what you will be doing, that's all that matters. Your collection will always be there to welcome you back. Meanwhile, maybe the Malakili "Rancor Keeper" mini bust you want will get made while you are away.

can you direst me to where you got those nifty clear Bust risers? Planning on moving my small bust collection to detolf and could use some.

I did try on eBay after I saw this thread, but didn't find anything probably because I wasn't sure what to search for. I thought they would be called risers. What should I search for?

This is an awesome collection, I especially love the signed pieces. I also heavily collect autos and it is my favorite hobby, so I know how awesome it is to meet people to get things signed. I am especially envious of the Shaak Ti one, as she is a very attractive actress outside the makeup.

So for having my collection up for only 6 months, it's all boxed up again, and my shelves have been cleared off. It's sad as I finally got my collection together, and now it's all back to being back in their boxes again.
I'll be moving in June, and late May a company will come and pick up my stuff to move overseas. I'll be bringing my mini bust colleciton along, but most of my other collection (action figures and other lines such as GI Joe and Transformers) will be here in the states in storage.

So keep checking in, my new set up will be coming as I get over to Belgium, get my stuff from the states, and then build my new shelving units. Thank Goodness I'm moving to Europe, the home of IKEA, where I can get things cheap such as book shelves :D

Thanks Django. it's fun to get these. I remember getting Richard LeParmentiers autograph on the bust in Kansas City. He was pretty excited as he'd never seen the busts in person, just singed the COA's that came with them and was on his way. So he signed my physical bust and was pretty cool. 2 weeks later I found out he died, which was very sad. So it's a nice piece to have signed.

I will post pictures of how the display looked before it was packed up. One last HOORAH to my cabinets I built and got sorted before I packed it all up and it's empty. I sure hope these PGM gifts get shipped before I move to Europe, that could be a pain in the *ahem* if I have to start paying customs and such.

I didn't know he died… I got his autograph on his Hasbro figure back in the day at celebration 2 or 3 and he was really cool to talk to. I really liked him! That's unfortunate that he died. RIP Mr. LeParmentier!

Best of luck on your move!
