Clever Anzellan droidsmiths have refurbished IG-11’s salvaged parts into a pilotable frame for Grogu, who can operate the droid body like a vehicle. Stripped to base motor functions, the droid has been renamed IG-12. Inspired by the STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN live-action series on Disney+, this 3.75-inch scale action figure set comes with IG-12’s blaster accessory and makes a great addition to any fan’s collection. Pose either Grogu or the Anzellan out or inside IG-12’s torso to recreate scenes from the show. Inspired by the original line, these collectibles feature premium detail and design across product and packaging, as well as collector-grade deco that fans have come to know and love.

Calling back to the original 1970s and 1980s vintage toys, the included figure features Kenner branding and package design with a unique VC number for collectability (VC #358). Celebrate the legacy of STAR WARS with premium vehicles, playsets, and action figures from STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION (additional products each sold separately, subject to availability).

Available for pre-order on November 20 at 1PM ET on Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.

Who’s picking up this figure?

Most definitely will be getting this. Been waiting patiently since amazon goofed and took preorders for a few min a couple months back.

I’ll pick it up at some point. Not really a day one purchase for me.

I’ll give Hasbro credit and it seems like they’re committed to building out the Mando Season 3 final battle. I can appreciate the effort put in to fleshing out those scenes.

I've got to say, I've never been wild about this from its very inception. It's just...cheesy. I don't know, IG-11 was one of my favorite roles from the first season. He really stood out. I've wanted to see a live-action IG Assassin Droid in action for decades. I dreamed of it. IG-88 was one of my favorite figures to play with as a kid, I always imagined the SW equivalent of the Terminator. Finally we got it and it didn't disappoint. The way these things move is epically cool! But what surprised me was how much character they packed into it. I actually felt something when he "died," so to speak. So the concept of puppeteering around his pseudo-corpse shell never sat well with me. It just felt tacky to me. It destroyed the emotional impact of his sacrifice. They should have just left him dead and, yeah, I know he still technically is...but I don't know. It feels like desecrating a heroes corpse...not to mention a fan favorites. I think it would have been so much more tastefully done had they just left him a statue to be honored. I've just never cared much for this idea. With that said, it's not the worst thing in the world either. It's silly, but it's still got its fun aspects. I don't hate it...but always found it too cartoonish and disrespectful of the prior character and his epic climax for me to ever love it. I don't think I ever could hate anything involving an IG-Assassin droid. There's plenty worse to come out of Disney SW, but there's a boatload better too. I'm so very "meh" on the Grogu piloted mechsuit IG-11. It's still a purchase from me, but on sale. This isn't a day one thing for my part. I'm not paying that for something that...even with the best of paint jobs (which it does NOT have)...I'll never be crazy about.

Also with this said, I'd have much preferred the Darktrooper-Mando hybrid armor Gideon. How he's still not gotten a figure is beyond me. Cannot wait for that one. He's gotta be coming eventually. Mando S3 had its problems, IMO, but how everything wrapped up and all the questions beginning with the first season were answered was far from it. Those final episodes were great.

I’m always beyond positive but the lack of paint apps is killing this line for me. The new playsets look so bland,
the ghost is looking lacking for sure. This figure however, looks awful to me. $25 for this. The plastic looks so cheap it’s just sad. Hopefully this looks better in hand.

This is tempting. I do want this version of the characters but the paint is terrible. And the price point, knowing it will hit sale prices like all the other deluxe figures have done.

The lack of paint is disturbing since they have been pretty adamant that deco and paint apps are one of the driving forces of the deluxe figures. Not sure how this qualifies. Nothing about this figure demands $25.

Not that it matters to anyone but my interest is officially starting to wane on this line. Between the complete oversaturation of mediocre to straight up bad SW media from the past couple years and this tired packaging scheme AND now product that is falling short of the price point I'm just kinda...over it?

The Ghost looks bland, the Forge is **** and now this. Again I'm all for higher prices if the product supports it. The product is not supporting it.

I think the same. But regarding sale offers I'm a bit concerned. For IG-11 I had to pay approx 25 EUR here in Europe some months ago. Wasn't available for less. Maybe I was simply to late as I'm starting TVC collecting just a year ago.

I'm probably in the minority here, but the Anzellan is the draw for me on this. As such, I think I need to hold off until there's a sale. But I'm glad they're making it!
Same here. Don't care about IGs but the Anzellan and Grogu are a draw.

I'll have that Anzellian eventually, but I can't imagine a situation where I'm going to spend $25 on any character. It brings up a big conundrum for me.
1) I've complained about lack of aliens and droids
2) I think this is an obvious choice for a release, and not a bad choice on the fan side or on the business side with less tooling needed.
3) It's current - ish media that isn't a mando or clone
4) $25 ... for what really should have been a regular release. Could they have added 2 Anzellians like the 6" figure? Would that have made a diff?

Hasbro wants to charge $25 for these 3.75" figures across the board. $17 is already too much and has caused many to just wait on sales or promotions or gift cards, etc. If they can't figure out a way to get prices manageable, this line is toast.

LIVE on amazon. may have to click on buying options to get it in cart.

Who’s the person from Hasbro who occasionally posts videos about new products? Do they ever do panels where disgruntled fans can ask in real time why the quality keeps going down for a higher price?

now says 5/1, but reports when they took a few preorders a while back, said 4/10, I believe. In reality, the 4/10 may be more like reality. Regardless, April or may, I am not getting charged for this, Amazon's glitch w/ applying gc balance to existing preorders led to them giving me a $25 off next order promo, and needless to say, this was my next order.

I think 25 is Hasbro is trying to test the market and see if they can bring in money like Joytoy, Dime Novel Legends, and the like with other more niche figure manufactures. Combine that with whatever inflation pressures they'll cite and I think they are clearly trying to see if they can make money.

I agree that it should have been a regular release. I will spend 25 on some figures but not Hasbro's current offerings because they frankly are offering less and less of what I necessarily want to buy. There isn't much creativity or play value any more and the value is decreasing to me. Add in to the fact that finding them in stores has become more challenging adds to the frustration.

The thing is with JoyToy and others there's a reason for higher prices, lower production numbers, they don't do anywhere near the same number of units a Company like Hasbro does. Second, they also seem to offer much higher quality in terms of deco and sculpt as well as an overall loyal fan interest in the IP they're creating. In recent years Star Wars hasn't truly had a "captivating" medium to draw in nay new consumers outside of Grogu for about a year. But even that has died down. If you want to sell a product it has to come from an IP that is exciting and that draws major views, D+ simply doesn't do that on the same scale as a movie generally did. And even those have seen a decline.

I have a feeling Hasbro is about to get a wakeup call they're not going to lie if this is indeed their strategy, charging $25 for Zeb is one thing but charging $25 for basically the same figure we got previously for $17 isn't going to go over well with the majority. It might have worked in the golden years of collecting when there was genuine excitement for the brand and a little more forgiveness in seeing the same figure or slight retool with large accessories for a few Dollars more. Not so much in today's economy.

I'm thinking this is why the Q&A's/fan engagements via streamers stopped, too many questions ask on why this or why that. Or did you know it's actually this not that, as in he's Phase 1 501st not a Clone Lieutenant, Andor's boot are incorrect type of comments etc. They've already changes their tune on why DLX was utilized, in the beginning it was "assembly time" then it switched to "deco". I don't think they know how to remain consistent, then again they're accountable to a higher up and are basically caught in the middle thus getting the blame. All because we don't interact with cocks.

The paint apps make it look kinda cheap, similar to the Ollivander’s Wand Shop droid from Ahsoka. 🙃

Like the little mechanic, not a pre-order for me, but will keep an eye out when it gets released.

Yeah, that's one reason I stopped doing Models. Simply got tired of spending hours painting everything myself and prefer to spend my older years collecting stuff that's finished.
Also, kind or ran out of patience with assembling them as well.

So, I agree that JoyToy and others have a different production model. That's probably relevant in some measure, but not as relevant when businesses look at what their competitors are offering. In my opinion, Hasbro is going, "Why not us?" when it comes to seeing Joytoy, Hiya, and others charging what they do. It's not a matter of quality and all a matter of dollar signs.

And, honestly, that's the way it's been for years now. But, as you say:
I have a feeling Hasbro is about to get a wakeup call they're not going to lie if this is indeed their strategy, charging $25 for Zeb is one thing but charging $25 for basically the same figure we got previously for $17 isn't going to go over well with the majority. Hasbro is totally in for a wake up call but I doubt they'll learn it quickly. Bigger businesses tend to change, and rely on their brand recognition to drive money in down times. I mean, fast food is a great example: Wendy's started doing the $5 thing for a long time before McDonald's jumped on. My guess would be because McDonald's didn't get the wake up call until after a massive slow down in sales and needing to readjust.

And, as much as I hate to say it, Star Wars collectors and buyers of toys (I don't consider myself a collector like all of you are) are also reluctant to stop purchasing. They will, but it's a slow process. Are there figures that interest me? Yeah, including an Anzellan and another Grogu. But, there are figures with JoyToy, Hiya, and Marauder Task Force that draw me more for my purposes. So, things slow down.

But, how many are truly going to vote with their wallets instead of complaining about how bad Hasbro or Disney or Lucasfilm are?

I still enjoy building models, I’ve never weathered or painted Hasbro action figures, but it can’t be much different than painting DnD/Warhammer minis
