You might want to check out this TOMY INC Diecast USS Star Trek Enterprise model in 1/350 scale for $699 USA + $50 USA shipping

15th Sep 2024 is deadline for PO Order. They have collected 273% of what is needed to fund the project. Just under 4 Million US dollars and counting.

Of course I ordered mine today. I will then think how much of a Star Trek fan I am once I have it in my hands. Seems that for Canadians, there won’t be any taxes and it will ship from the Canadian warehouse of TOMY INC.

So at $1016 CAD landed at my door, I can always resell it easily if for any reason I don’t want it.

The Enterprise Refit is my favorite version of the Enterprise. I do love this but I wish there was a way for them to figure out how to eliminate the two rods that support the saucer section. They bother me quite a bit.

Having said that, I'm still on the fence about preordering one.

I know me too, but they said in the video with Adam Savage, that the rods are required to hold the saucer because otherwise the stress is huge on the neck.

That base is not the final version, it will be upgraded......I'm sure Tomy guys heard what people said about the TOS model and they won't make the same "mistakes" with that one !!!

They said the base will be Diecast and not plastic to give it weight. So that is a good thing. For some reason the original Enterprise from the 70s never did anything for me, so glad I never bought the Master Replicas or the one from TOMY INC.

But this one is very different.

Me too, I am a 99.99% Star Wars fan, but I just had to have this ship.

Take my money 💰 TOMY!

I think the original TOS Enterprise model was made in 1965

I ordered 3. I also ordered 3 of the original Tony 1701s as well but did not take delivery of them as they were so far off the mark of what was promised. The screw hole covers, ridiculous stand, craptastic shuttles, fitment issues, paint chip and paint glob issues and electronic technical issues plaqued the run with gaps and seams made that decision easy for me. However this run will be different as they learned a lot since the issue of the original 1701. This run is AC powered they are hiding the screw holes in design and appear to have the Aztec painting covered. What sells me on the refit although is there is nothing out there in this scale. I have the MR SE Enterprise I bought secondary market so again the decision was easy on letting the original Tomy 1701s go. However the original Tony model fills a gap in lot of folks collection as The MR Enterprise price point is a little harsh for most collections. I respect that but bluntly the first model was just not for me. Hindsight always being 20/20 I probably should have taken delivery and sold secondary market and done exceptionally well…., GC
