I hope you guys don't mind the new title. I haven't created a thread in a long time, and we're over 500 now, so figured why not...

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

To commemorate our new thread, Hasbro has provided me with a $2 off coupon to use on any SW purchase of $10 or more. I have created a website called www.playsaver.com where the coupons can be accessed. There are MANY coupons (for Thor, Iron Man, and more) but the SW coupon is on the 4th page. Yep, I created it all myself. Sure I did, yeah, that's the ticket!

Sad sad day...

I think I have come to the realization, I can no longer support the Hasbro side of my Star Wars hobby. With this being said, I have to decide what the best avenue to sell is. I know I will not get close to what I have spent on it, but I would like to get as much as possible. Any ideas?

For those who don't know, I am expecting my third child; this is what is promting the soul searching and sudden sell off.

I am very sorry to hear that (about quitting Hasbro, congrats on the baby!) I myself have been debating quitting, but wasn't planning on selling what I have already. I just was going to stop buying the new stuff. My only suggestion would be to get a table at Kane County (which is on May 15). Henry's show is great for clearancing out low priced stuff, but you'd do much better at Kane County due to larger traffic. Any rare or harder to find pieces you will probably want to throw on Ebay. Of course, you can also try posting a list of stuff in the Rebelscum forums to sell to board members...

The Chicago group has 9 tables for May 15th at Kane. I chipped in $30 for half of a table, along side ValDaCarr. I will check and see if there is more room open. I would recommend this or e-bay if you want to recoup the most money possible (much you will still sell at a 20% loss compared to retail; some will be 20% more - you just never know).

First time out looking at toys in months. Took the fam out to Janesville. Saw R5D4, Yavin Han, and Gree for the first time at TRU. AND old style battle packs are 50% off, 12.50. Also saw Utapau Trooper at Target. Geonosis 2 Packs were $7 at Target. They had a ton. Only got the Coleman T/Jango combo. Also got a clearance IronMan2 fig in the glow cup display for 50% off + a $3 off coupon from last week's newspaper. $2 ain't too bad. Not much else to mention. KMart currently has 50% additional off already clearanced toys. Didn't see anything worth buying - even for $2 or so.

Did some travelling last Friday and found More Pixar Cars than Star Wars. At an out of the way Target found a GH ATAT for $20 and one Droid Gunship.

(for the record Cars 2 is coming June 24 so the clearance/fire sale at Target has BEGUN)

Re: C3P0 Switcheroo

Hey guys, does anyone have any of the vintage switcheroo's by Kenner or any advice on installing one? I just bought one loose and think I'm missing a piece but can't find any info on these anywhere

it is indeed a light switch cover, but info on it is rare
Does it have moving parts or something? I can't picture how a lightswitch cover would be more than just one screw at the top, and one screw at the bottom...

I have a Vader one. There should be a white plastic bracket-type pc that you screw over (or actually if I recall correctly, in place of) your typical light switch cover. The actual character piece then mounts/clicks on to that bracket. So you should have the white bracket w/2 screws which screw into the wall. Then you should have the and actual character w/switch which clicks onto the bracket with screws that are on the back of that. The character has the switch mechanism as an attached, moving pc which goes over the existing light switch, so when you move the little pc on the character switch, it in turn, moves the original light switch.

Re: C3P0 Switcheroo

dang im missing the bracket! Perhaps I can make a bracket, we'll see. Thank you for your help you guys, I'll post pics if I can get it to work.

Vintage Wave 6 Hits Madison Targets

I found Hasbro Vintage Wave 6 at both Madison Super Target and Madison West Target this morning. (Madison West had twice as many as Super)

These figures impressed me more than I planned and ended up buying a full set When I really only wanted the Weequay Skiff Master and Fi-Ek Sirch. Both Targets still had them on sale for only $6.54 each (much less than I paid for Clone Wars yesterday at TRU)

Thanks for the tip. I will have to go mega hunting after work. As for the sale price, unfortunately none of the Targets here have that price, at least not the ones I go to. That's a nice price!

Which character do you have? I'll have to see if I can acquire a Switcheroo someday. It sounds neat, and perfect for my display room.

Bosski, Bosski, Bosski, I am posting in here for you my friend. Generally I keep to The Clone Wars, Expanded Universe, and Customizing topics. Only collect TCW figures, do some customizing, and have some original kenner figures from my childhood tucked away.

I'll check in more often.

Today I found the Eeth Koth wave at Target West in Madison. There was only one set of the new TCW figures. Target West always seems to get the new TCW figures first. I heard there was a new Target by Hilldale? Anybody go to that one? How hot or cold are the pegs there? Also picked up a G.I. Joe figure for a vest I want to use on a custom TCW Kal Skirata figure. I'm reading Order 66 right now. He's a great character worthy of a custom, especially with the rumors of TCW Delta squad coming out....(will have to get an extra set for a custom Omega squad)
