Initially I thought ohhhhh cooooool!

Then I started to think about it... The shot above is bunch of backs (with maybe a leia spoiler)... Not the way I would want to display my expensive HT figures. I am guessing there will be a front? That could work better but missing the icon framework shapes? I want to be sooo excited about this. More pics at SDCC should be fun to see.

mmmm someone mentioned this... looks like sideshow's SDCC announcements might be overshadowed by HTs.

Didn't expect it so soon but i knew it was coming sooner or later. It's gonna cost an arm and a leg but i'm sure it's gonna look to good not to get.

So excited to see this, not excited to see how much. It doesn't appear that is will be a side view/cross section, and it appears the window/canopy is there, so maybe it opens just like the old Falcon Kenner/Hasbro toys?

daammmmmm moth@$*****@$!!!!!!!!! this is what I'm talking about.

Looks like it will have lights, wonder if any sound effects. Now I have to get Han and Chewbacca
And this will make one awesome display piece!!

Can't wait for SDCC!!

You know what would be cool, if every month HT released a piece of the Falcon and over 2 years you get a fully built 1/6 scale huge Millennium Falcon. Like what DeAgostini is currently doing with their Falcon kit.
that would rock so hard to death!!

Good gravy. I never thought I'd see something like this being made. I am curious about the price. What's next, a Super Star Destroyer bridge and all 6 bounty hunters next year?

I don't see HT release the whole Falcon, even as a partwork. This being said, if cockpit sells well, they could consider other iconic areas such as gunner stations, central hold (to go with Sideshow's Dejarik table) and even access ramp.

I don't think any way this is below 700, but that is a guess assuming the canopy/window is on the cockpit, there are lights, etc.

Worth noting: the Facebook post by Hot Toys says "Hot Toys is raising the bar once again to bring Star Wars fans some astonishing collectibles of the saga's spacecrafts in 1/6 scale."

Spacecrafts, plural. I wonder what else is in store?

I would hope you could display from a front view as that's the iconic view of the characters when they're in the Falcon.

looking forward to seeing more photos. Definitely going to get one. I'm guessing $899 for the price, though.

You will. We only got a teaser and this will be a full cockpit with removable canopy. Lots of display possibilities from ANH, ESB, ROTJ... and TFA.

Just thinking of what is possible size-wise
Landspeeder (though Sideshow was supposedly working on one way back when and they've been releasing lots of Tatooine figures)
Snowspeeder--this would be as big as the tumbler I'm guessing and mean we're getting a snowspeeder Luke
Other falcon environments? Turrets, ramp
Not spaceships but how about a bantha or at least a wampa?

Wasn't there a Tantive IV corridor diorama rumoured?

A sixth scale landspeeder seems far fetched to me because it would be so big, but I know it was an idea sideshow floated out there in the past.just the cockpit of the xwing could be interesting I suppose. I would love the Falcon turret. TantIve IV entryway seems like a great idea and a good way for them to showcase their ANH Vader.

This will probably be in the $600-800 price range, judging by the similar prices for Hot Toys' Delorean and Batmobile. There's no way it'll be $450 as someone else suggested. Not in this scale and with electronics.

It's funny that some reactions in this thread have been saying Hot Toys should tackle the Landspeeder and Star Destroyer Bridge (for the bounty hunters lineup), but those two were actually rumored to be in development by Sideshow several years ago, especially the latter one when it was assumed Sideshow would be producing all the bounty hunters, but seemingly gave up on them after Bossk. I wonder whatever became of those plans. :(

They got me!! Oy!
I just pre-ordered the HT Luke, Obi-Wan and Han Solo because of this announcement!
No joke!
This may be the biggest 1:6 scale Star Wars "wow factor" at SDCC since the Jabba/Throne environment 8 years ago!!

I'm speechless... Just a brilliant move!!!

And obviously there will many collectors buying more than one to recreate the many scenes across the OT and most likely... TFA.

I'm hoping now HT will us some Star Destroyer interiors, and Mos Eisley sets!!!

I do see them making a whole falcon as part of their expo's display pieces, as they did this year with 1/1 Hulkbusters and Hulks...

Ha! I just mean they wouldn't make one without the other. Is the snow speeder too big to make? Seems possible but who knows. It could be the size of the Hasbro big falcon.

The will easily be close to a grand, no doubt. Just the size alone to hold 4 figs, yikes! I doubt I can do it, for price, space, and display. I ordered all 4 ANH hero figs, but I don't think I want to display them sitting down. I'm sure it will be a great piece, but I will have to see what is really offers. I hope the canopy can raise so the figs can be seen from the front.

I will not get this as it is out of my Imperial focus but I like how HT is having some really cool ideas. This will be a great diorama. And the start for vehicles and other dios too

I took a second look at the accessories offered with Han, Luke, ect. If they are jumping into environments the added accessories would suggest maybe the prison level environment, hallway, trash compactor, chasm? Just food for thought.

It won't be overly expensive... Reasons...

1. HT learnt a hard lesson with their 1/12 Bat.

2. The assembly and paint ap will be basic with no mega attention hand craftmanship like on the faces of their human figures.

3. There's likely no die-cast.

4. It will be packed in pieces in the smallest box possible. I was amazed how HT packed things within things to compact the box of their Batman Armory.

5. The actual Falcon cockpit was a bit tight. I think the circumference of a 1/6 cockpit will be around 50cm.

My view, this will be $550 to $800 tops if they go all out with sounds and lighting effects.

But I'm still hoping for some Mos Eisley back drops and scenes over this... The SCC ones as much they were nice, they were a quite heavy in price already during release...

And does this mean SSC will dare a Tie Fighter and X-wing Cockpits???

I can imagine HT making an x-wing cockpit with space for R2, vader's TIE and maybe an At-AT cockpit

Heard about that, and is awesome to know this could help out on shipping too (volumetric costs are important now too).
