Unfortunately, that's how HT work. They tend to reveal more prototypes than they actually intend to release. This Airborne is part of a few dozens of unreleased prototypes. Maybe TCW subline will help it getting a PO as well as already revealed regular 212th trooper and battle droïds.

Being the Airborne trooper is in the promo shots with Cody, you have to assume they are coming out with that one soon. I know when we saw the Baskar Mandalorian in the Remanent Troopers promo shots, they ended up releasing it eventually.

I personally love the design of the Airborne, it is one I would love to add. Which almost makes Cody an add by default then, and for now I am not really interested in adding Cody .

So much for the new Clone Wars line. Literally nothing new announced since the initial drop when the finale aired.

I don't have any type of interest in the clone wars line. I would prefer that they continue to produce more characters from the Skywalker Saga that are still pending like Lando, C3PO, Padme, Windu, Sidious ep. 3, Grievous, Poe Dameron... It looks that this year instead of Luke Hoth pilot they forgot the films and they are only doing mandalorian and clone wars figures...

Hot Toys are cashing on Mandalorian and Clone Wars stuff while it's front and center.

I can see why they put OT and PT stuff on hold. Collectors have been patiently waiting for 40 years and 20 years respectively. What's a couple more years. On the other hand, with so much competition in today's entertainment, where a new shows are born each and every year, Ahsoka or Mando may not have the same appeal in a few years.

Gentle Giant actually touched upon this a few months ago with a interview with RS.

Clone Wars and Mando stuff are hot right now, so companies will take advantage of this. We'll probably continue to see a huge focus on Clone Wars and Mando stuff for awhile now, especially without any major films around the corner.

With at least three years before the next movie and quite a few series in the work, i think we can expect a few surprise releases in the next few months indeed. Lets hope movie icons are not completely put on hold though. I still want my PT/OT/ST fix as well.

And it was only expected in the next 3 to 6 months. Wondering how many other helmeted figures will see an early release.

I imagine quite a few will start landing. Not surprising seeing as there are so many Mando figures by Hot Toys available for pre order.

A few shots of the final product. There were few chances Hot Toys would botch a Temuera Morrison HS but still nice to see a great translation from proto to production.

Looks awesome and the HS (besides the receding hairline) is amazing.

The karma and pauldron is wrong but I can ignore that.

The visor should be a little more narrower too.

At the rate things are going, i don't think we should expect a lot when it comes to clones. At least, nothing too far from the basic design or front and center. As much as i'd like to complete my ROTS line up, i'm not holding my breath for backgrounders such as Galactic Marine or Kashyyyk Scout.

Seeing as this is a TCW focused subline I think they should focus on characters or costumes that debuted in TCW. I think Ahsoka S1 is still a priority to complete the team lineup. Asajj Ventress, Cad Bane, Plo Koon I think are core characters as well. There's P1 Rex, S3 Anakin-Obi Wan-Ahsoka but I doubt those will happen.

Thankfully TCW has become part of OT/PT in the collecting world, where their products are kinda timeless, where Mandalorian will end up going when that show is all said and done. Their products will always sell, and sell well. They can spread this line out for years.

I have full confidence we'll get a bunch of TCW HT figures down the line, but HT will decide to really focus on the news shows and what is hot right now, so we'll get a few TCW figures, kinda like how we get a few OT/PT figures sprinkled in with the new shows going on now.

I can see Phase 1 Cody and Rex's being con exclusives down the line, they would be easy ones to do and sell.

Just got Rex recently. I don't have too many Hot Toys to compare him to, but he may be my favorite figure so far. Weathering looks great, and has some cool posing options with the jet pack and flight stand.

Thanks man ! They look amazing. I only have 2 other HT pieces and was trying to fight the urge , but a friend of mine just ordered all the new Batman stuff , and that got me looking again. I love The Clone Wars and some of these are just too good to pass up !

With Ahsoka, Anakin and, crossing fingers, a Obi-Wan as well if Hot TOys finally decide to release their prototype, the perfect Star Wars The Clone Wars shelf.
