Hasbro have finally launched their Hasbro Pulse website, it's meant as a way to reveal product across all their properties, eventually fan polls and behind the scenes stuff. Not much yet is up for Star Wars info but something to keep an eye on.

Hasbro in a bizarro move decided to travel back in time to toy standards of the late 70's and early 80's and people are seemingly blinded by nostalgia, which unfortunately is the case in most niches of life at the moment. Any never-before-done action centric character should be realised with at least 10 POA first, 5 POA later.

I don't collect GI Joe, but I enjoyed playing with them back when I was a kid. I have noticed that Hasbro today still re-makes the same action figure characters I had back when I was a kid in the '80s. You would've thought they could've made brand new characters since then.
Anyway, I guess the next step Hasbro would take for the GI JOE line is to make 6" figures of all the classic 80's characters. Just like they did with Marvel Legends & Star Wars. It could be a good idea. I may be intrigued by buying a few for nostalgia sake.

a good step in the right direction. Now lets all try not to act like raging aholes who delusionally feel victimized.

You do realize this is the internet, right? :awesome:

Anyways, I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what this site is supposed to be. It comes across like a fan site run by guys who actually work at Hasbro, but I'm guessing that the whole point.

lol I do have brief lapses of hope for humanity

Guys, they get pictures an entire HOUR before any other fansite does!

I saw several of those figures that I had from the late 80's early 90's and i was tempted to get some for old times sake. The funniest thing is that even back then those figures were fully articulated. It took a while for them to get it right with star wars and now they want to halt the progress.

Is that a positive or a negative? I only ask because if the pictures come out and I'm asleep, it might not matter because I won't realize the websites are an hour behind.

I'm thinking about signing up, but I might wait a bit to see what others are saying about the site. I'm assuming this is the Project that DDP was working on, right?

I think what Doop is refering is, Pulse will post an article then within about an hour all the other fansites will either be linking to the Pulse website or be showing the images themselves. Appologies if i'm wrong

Tried to sign up but they request a US location. Could have entered a random one but it's kind of disappointing overseas collectors/customers are left behind on this.

Hey Hasbro, we are in the 21st century, global market you know...

^ They deserve our contempt for such bias and shortsightedness. Always the same, it is.

I signed up with a random US address, no problems.

Indeed. Signing up with a random address i good enough to get news and updates. what about any future goodies, special offers, mail-in...

I signed up, and selected Transformers, GI Joe and Star Wars. I hope it turns into a good resource for fans and collectors. So let's try to keep positive and see what kind of content we get. The Transformers article was a good read.

They wouldn't ship them outside of the states anyways.

Um, how do you know it's a valid address? And what if Joe schmo gets mailings he didn't ask for. lol

Well I doubt Hasbro would send anything out for free to begin with, they'd only ship to US addresses so I'd never get anything anyways so I don't need to worry, whoever lives at whatever I typed in will be happy though lol

That's pretty much my point. In an era of global market, where internet, Facebook, Tweeter, Instagram and other means of communication are working at full speed, it's a shame a globat toy company such as Hasbro can't work out a worldwide promotion web site and consider its customer base as one and not multiple geographical targets.

Seems to me that if they want to be in touch with the younger generation. They need Twitter and Instagram, not some website they put together. Most kids don't actively visit websites, they get updates from social media.

Itd be nice if Hasbro broadcasts their sdcc panels on pulse

This is true. But at least they have started something. They can always expand from here on out.

I'm waiting until after SDCC before signing up. Has anybody gotten any info from Hasbro Pulse yet?

Hasbro will be right on top of it, releasing all of their toy goodness...sometime next week (after they all return from San Diego).

"Brilliant idea with that 'Pulse' website, Sanders. That should keep all the collectors and fanboys off our butts, heh...heh...heh." - Hasbro Executive

Inspiring as ever Hasbro

How about checking the ****ing pulse of the 3"75 line. Dead.

I just got a large envelope in the mail from Hasbro. Not knowing what it was and kind of excited having the "Hasbro Pulse" return label on it. I opened it...it was a comic with the combiner transformers (Aerial Bots) part 4, a square flyer saying "Thanks for begin a fan!" and a VIF (Very Important Fan) badge for (wait for it)...SDCC. JUST IN TIME (7/20/15)!

I guess they didn't need send anything so I should be grateful but REALLY!

I think I'll wait until closer to Sept. 4th because then maybe they'll send out something that has to do with SW.

That's ok, I can wait.

I wonder what happens if you only sign up for SW info. Would you then get some Kind of SW welcome package or could you end up getting something from Transformers or My Little Pony?
