Happy Star Wars day peeps, did anybody get into the spirit of things today?

I shaved my whole body and got into my Princess Leia slave outfit, im not going to any May the 4th party, the girlfriends away  im just kicking back at home in the bedroom, got SW on the DVD, laying in bed looking at myself in the mirror dressed as leia with a chain around my neck, even put a bit of Jabbas slobber on myself, must admit i look pretty good, sometimes i have to take a double look in the mirror to check im not actually Leia :wtf:.

Anyway, anybody else getting into the spirit of May the 4th day?

cheers

Just watched the original trilogy marathon in the cinema which were the blu ray versions hmmmmmmmm

Well, although my daughter Hannah Leia,s birthday is tommorow you can see her name is SW influenced. Henceforth we are having a family party for her, which will be great:)

If there's no pics, it never happened. Although I am not sure I would to see this pic anyway. Or would I?

Happy nerd day everyone!

The 501st guys are going to be at the zoo near me so I'm taking my son there. I really wanted to go to the Plastic Galaxy showing but I don't think the kid would have sat quietly through it.

May the Fourth Be With You my Scum friends!!! I always wanted to be on a vintage box! Hahaha...

Did you guys see the Star Wars Day episode of Big Bang Theory on Thursday? Hilarious.

always a funny show but this was one of the funniest in a long time...my better half used the same line as Penny when i was asked if may the fourth was really star wars day...that in itself was priceless

Went in to the LCS, the owner was telling me that they had a mad 4 hour run yesterday for the "Free comic Book Day" promo. Needless to say, I had a long chat with him about the upcoming and latest announcements. I think he is more excited about it than me!
Tomorrow we can celebrate "Revenge of the 5th Day"!!

I get flack for this every year, but this whole 'May the Fourth' thing is one of the most embarrassing things about being a SW fan.

First of all, today has NOTHING to do with SW, other than loosely sounding like 'May the Force Be With You', spoken by a stereotypical nerd with a lisp. Not the stereotype I want to perpetuate.

I understand it's harmless, but I just think it's exposing the geekier side of SW, and not necessarily the 'cooler' side of it. I'm about as opposed to this 'holiday' as I am the EU and Episodes 7-9.....

Ian, we need to get you and Debbie Downer together for a hot date...

Lol. Seriously though, love the spin you bring to things brother. Just messing around. Happy "has nothing to do with Star Wars" day to you bro!

Agreed

I think the whole "May the 4th" thing is goofy too but my 3 year old lost his mind seeing the 501st guys today at the zoo so I can appreciate it somewhat.

I agree with Ian - May 4th has no special meaning outside the phonetic value. **BUT**
While all the hardcore people only celebrate the 25th, I don't think having another SW
Day for people to have SW fun is a bad thing. The more the merrier !!

Having a SW day doesnt make us seem any more like nerds than if it did not exist....either way I love it cause of the lego builds I get to share w my son.

Probably not a fan of Revenge of the Fifth either eh?

I sure did! What I did today:

Thinking of ideas for future Titan UK comic stories.
Brought some vintage Kenner card backs on eBay.
Brought quite a few Dark Horse trades that were only 99p on iBooks (prices went back up not long after)
Watched episodes of Clone Wars.
Watched Revenge of the Sith.
Watched Return of the Jedi.

A fun filled day. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

The only thing I really got to do was put on a Star Wars shirt. I had the weekly equipment check at my fire station. Then I met up with my brother and we stood in line for 4 hours to meet Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Co-creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Then it was home to get my wife and head off to a concert she got tickets for.

For the first time ever, went to my buddy's house and watched the entire OT back-to-back-to-back! That is a lot of sitting on your behind but it's been something I have wanted to do for about 16-17 years now! :)

Watched ANH earlier, watching ESB right now, and will probably fall asleep watching ROTJ (hopefully by the time all the silly shenanigans occur on Endor.)

I had to work 12 hours today so while I couldn't watch the movies I listened to all of the soundtracks on Spotify. Actually I'm lying, I got about 3 tracks into TPM and had to skip the rest of it.

SW is full of nerds and thats it. period. Thats how the media promotes it and it has stuck. NOTHING is going to change and anyone who thinks otherwise is just full of wishful thinking:whistling: ToyHunter is a perfect example, big 6 foot 200+ plus pound grown men jumping up and down over a SW toy are NERDS. good luck with changing that lmao

Every Who down in Whoville liked May the 4th a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville - did not. The Grinch hated May the 4th - the whole SW season. Now, please don't ask why; no one quite knows the reason. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or it could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all... may have been that his heart was two sizes too small. But, whatever the reason, his heart or his shoes, he stood there on May the 3rd hating the Whos. Staring down from his cave, with a sour grinchy frown, at the warm, lighted windows below in their town. For he knew that every Who down in Whoville beneath was busy now, hanging a holly who wreath.

Yes. I killed my father and tossed his corpse on a bon fire and kissed my sister.

We visited a Star Wars store in our state and picked up some galactic heroes for my son and vintage skiff guard and bespin guard for me.

My wife and I took our son to the Disney Store at the mall for their May The 4th Star Wars event.

The kids had a great time!~

The local AAA baseball team, the Durham Bulls, had a "May the 4th Be With You" game where they wore special uniforms and had Star Wars characters in the stands for the kids.

Word through the grapevine is that there was an integral "inner circle" meeting held on may the 4th. the location and participants will not be discussed so as to keep the members hidden and safe from the empires clutches.
