Han Solo (Starkiller Base)

I just got this figure, and to be honest the figure is excellent, very detail and SA. however I'm just wondering why Hasbro decided to give us this one instead of the leather jacket. his holster is glued to his leg(just like the 6" Han from TFA) the holster is very detail just like the 6", the detail on the pants is excellent. however you can barely move his right leg because of the glued holster. the gun is very accurate and fit perfectly on his holster. the head is a little bigger than the 5POA, but the same mold and of course the hair color is wrong. very cool figure but I would like the more regular Han with his leader jacket instead of this one. and his leg articulation is identical to the Han Bespin. but you can seat him in the MF because his holster and cold weather jacket.

Because most people wouldn't get this version if they released the leather jacket one first and then this one. However, releasing this one first with no guarantee of the leather jacket one coming out will entice people (like me) to purchase this one and then the leather jacket one if it is released.

Fixed Han's hair tonight. A simple dry brush with a dark gray, then again with a lighter gray.

No offense meant to your work, the hair looks great, but the more pics I see of this wave, the less worried about ever finding it I become. Phasma looks good, but Han and Leia really look bad, at least paint app wise.

Thanks.

It's weird with this Han figure. There's some angles it looks alright and other angles it doesn't.

I think the jacket sculpt rides too high on the shoulders, with the sculpted hood down gives him a hunchback in some angles

I never thought Id say this, and if three years ago you told me I'd feel this way i wouldn't have believed it but, I have no desire to buy this figure. Im so unhappy with Star Wars figure collecting and star wars in general that I do not want to buy and official movie canon episode 7 Han Solo figure. How crazy is that?

What are These Star Wars Episode 7 figures you are talking about? I'm sure that I've never seen them, so I think it might be even crazier that you are talking about figures that I'm not really sure exist.............or are you talking about those Mashers things I Keep seeing everywhere??

yeah that is crazy, but hey, there's a new movie in December, so maybe we'll get lucky the next time around.

Hasbro's "effort" in regards to TFA has been a complete and total failure. Sure you have a nice 5 POA here and there, a couple nice Black figures..etc, you guys know what i'm talking about ffs ..lol.

Still, id probably buy this if i ever found it because i'm sick you see.

Hasbro definitely helped me a lot with my 4" figures addiction. Them going 5 POA or 6" saved me a ton of $$$ and i'm now focusing on the eventual 4" SA figure like this Han. I concede they cost me 50% more than they used to but, as i'm only buying 2% of what i used to, i'm still richer now the Original Collection is dead.

I'm looking at it like that as well. There have only been 9 new figures since it went exclusive, so even i I buy all 9 (not sure about a couple), it will be a fewer number of total figures Overall, so paying a bit more isn't going to hurt me.

I guess we should thank Hasbro for helping us with our addiction, then.;) The other day I was in a store that had 3x 6"TFA stomrtrooper. Last fall I would have bought 1-2 of them, but the other day, I just walked right on by. Now, had then been 3.75", I would have picked them all up, so I can't say I'm cured yet, but it's getting easier to skip Hasbro offerings every day (which is also sad after collecting for so many years).

I found this figure around 2 weeks ago about 25 minutes away from me, I was told it was a return. I guess kinda miraculous since this wave is near non-existent so far in 20-60 mile radius of where I live.

Anybody know the case assortment of this latest Black Series wave?

Found this figure today. I like him a lot better than I thought I would. Anyone have a link to a pic of what he looks like without the jacket it on?

Here you go:

SW E7 KYLO REN x1
SW E7 FIRST ORDER STORMTROOPER x1
SW E6 DARTH VADER x1
SW E6 LUKE SKYWALKER x1
SW E7 REY JAKKU x1
SW E7 FINN JAKKU x1
SW E7 CAPTAIN PHASMA x2
SW E7 HAN SOLO x2
SW E7 PRINCESS LEIA ORGANA x2

Agreed. Another missed opportunity from Hasbro. They actually should have also skipped the Vader and Luke and just packed 4 TFA troopers in the case.

Finally got this guy now, Its pretty good but the holster and coat restrict the BJ hips pretty severely.

Yeah the head sculpt is even better than the 5POA fig, plus he's got better articulated legs and arms. Too bad it was used up on a 20 minute scene. lol Would have preferred his main look for SA. Still a great figure overall.

BTW, it's just a shirt with scarf. So it doesn't a hve much appeal w/o the jacket. I was thinking about re-purposing it for his main look, but no can do.

Too bad the scarf wasn't a separate piece. If it were, I could probably make my own SA Han in regular jacket instead of the Starkiller jacket.

I thought someone made a nice SA version using the legs, head, and then torso and jacket from the 5POA and then arms from maybe the Echo Base TVC Han? Complicated recipe but it looked nice.

I forgot to add that both Vader and Luke have soft-goods and you'd think those would cost more than a couple of small blasters. Luke has other accessories as well, so in the end, you'd think repacking that stormtrooper would actually be cheaper and get use of the mold more quickly.

But, again, that would probably make too much sense.

If you only "thought" it existed, how do you know it looks nice? :p

That actually sounds like a good recipe, and might use most of it. I've been scouring the archives for the likeliest candidates for this project.

kinda crappy pic with my old ipod. shaved down the scarf with an xacto just has to be sanded a little. simple boil n pop and Indiana jones arms fit perfectly and I have the 5 POA Han jacket waiting. theres no way I have enough skill to sculpt a collar on him so this will be my stand in until Hasbro gives us what they should have in the first place. then he'll just be TFA Han with a different shirt. like maybe the shirt he wore the day before the events of TFA lol.

This is probably the one I saw.

Here's a pic of the custom I cranked out using that figure...

Thanks! Those are unpainted Indiana Jones arms. Found one that was a pretty good color match, which is great since I suck at painting.

It's mostly black series carbonite Han with the TFA head and jacket, Indiana Jones arms and the gun and holster from the TFA black series Starkiller base Han.

That said, it's not finished, as I still intend to paint the tips of the cylinders in the jacket.

I just sanded the scarf off the Starkiller Base Han, added the 5POA vest, Indiana Jones arms, and put a wash on the boots and coat.
