Yes, I noticed that in the clips and that was maybe the most desired costume change I've seen yet for a new figure. Surely they will be releasing it. They skipped any kind of SA Chewy for TLJ. A prequel duo of Han & Chewy seems like a no brainer.
If I ever do get this Han, I think I would use him as custom fodder to make random smuggler out of it.
I have never really cared for the recast, and this guy while sharing a passing resemblance to Han does not look enough like him to play a guy just ten years younger. He does however resemble him enough to be a relative or a son. Anyone think this guy's head and a Kylo body would be a good start towards a Jacen Solo figure?
As others have said, I'm not a big fan of how this Han looks in the face, he just doesn't resemble a young Harrison Ford much. They just did such a better job with young Obi-Wan with the prequels (and even the briefly-scene guy playing Tarkin at ROTS didn't need that bulky Peter Cushing makeup; he already looked like a young Cushing with his cheekbones and nose). In the spinoffs, Guy Henry playing the body and facial movements of Tarkin was a good casting choice; and I can see Henry playing a young Tarkin with his real face because he also resembles Cushing quite a bit. But this guy just doesn't look like Harrison Ford at this age. Even the dude playing young Lando is better. That said... I like the look of this figure immensely and might get him if I see him. He's got "definite impulse buy" written all over him.
With Obi-wan I think it was easier. The prequels timeline was set so far back that you didn't try to match the face up while watching. I think everyone is doing that here with Solo. I know I am. I'm looking at his face and listening to every word he speaks looking for the matchup with Harrison Ford. And with it only being 10 years or so like you said, I don't know how they can win. Hopefully his actions and manurisms will match up and help offset some of the voice & looks issues. And yes, this outfit doesn't just scream gotta have it, so like most everything that comes out minus Lando & Chewy, I need to be moved by the movie first!

I think once I see the movie, and gauge how much the actor 'captures the essence of Harrison Solo', I can truly judge.
I can forgive a not super close physical resemblance to the original actor, if the character and acting (and let's be honest, impersonation) feels authentic and good.
And also, I'm not going out of my mind over this figure, but will probably, inevitably, pick it up, if it's easy/cheap enough.
I'm still WAY more interested in the supertrooper over the other three new figs from SOLO.

Because of the outfit or the face?
Once we all see the movie and adjust to a new younger Han I believe we'll all be alright. The figure is growing on me.

It's kind of nuts, but the photo realism of the facepaint app makes me want to get these human figs SO MUCH MORE now.
Nothing nuts about it, they really are amazing! I was walking past my shelves yesterday and noticed that Anakin and Obi-Wan had taken a nosedive. As I was putting them back and looking at the old paint apps versus Rey and DJ, it really is amazing what a difference it is.
Dude this x 1000 lol...I had absolutely zero interest in getting Tarkin when they previewed him last year, the face looked cartoonish. Now he's my most anticipated figure! Hasbro really did make a good move in using the photo real stuff. They're not dumb, they know a lot of us were looking to Figuarts, etc. for our figures now. It was a good business move. Rey and Rex look insanely good too. I'm also really looking forward to the improved Death Star Trooper coming in the Tarkin/Solo wave, looks so much better.

No, I think I can live with it...but thanks for the offer I was thinking the other day though, if they do reissue older figures with the new paint technique, it'd be a great chance to get Anakin out there again. Mine was a gift, ordered from Amazon. I never saw him in stores. It'd be great to get some of the older figures, with the sketchy paint aps, updated with this tech. Figures like Slave Leia, ROTS Obi-Wan, Jedi Luke...

I was going to pass on this figure, but seeing the above pic makes me want one.
This is a really nice figure. Got mine last week. I recommend picking him up if you’re on the fence for sure.

Yeah, I know there is a trend of male leads in jackets and by far personally this outfit is the best design and the best figure.
The new head dumbbell joint is very expressive, his single elbow bends as much as Figuarts Jedi Luke, joints are all the perfect balance of tight and fluent. Just genuinely a fun figure to pose around.
Even if you don't see it as Han it's a cool Star Wars figure.

Picked him up at Target yesterday. This is my first photo-real Black Series, and I'm really happy with the tech! It looks so lifelike! My only other experience with photo-real is the Marvel Legends Ego pack. And while that set looks amazing, the paint is a bit too grainy and sloppy. Huge improvement here though!
So I ended up keeping one $5 Han for myself. He looks too amazing. Had to keep him. If anything he’ll hold me over until Han Bespin with this face paint tech comes out. This is a game changer for Hasbro. It’s elevating them above other toys in the aisle.
I agree. I find myself buying figures I had no interest in, Like the Death Star Gunner, simply because the new Face Printing looked so goon on the revised version. Turns out I love the figure and may by a second.

Han seems to be the only one readily available here in the UK. Since we lost TRU there aren't really any bricks and mortar outlets for black series any more, and if you go online, everything but Solo is sold out from this wave. Unless, of course you want a Tarkin, there are a few onliners with him, at the frankly eye watering £60! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the wave goes up on amazon on Friday, but thus far there are no pre orders, just marketplace sellers with jacked up prices.
