Looks like we'll be seeing Grand Admiral Thrawn in the 6" scale line.

Who's purchasing the new 6" Grand Admiral Thrawn figure? Thoughts?

That's not how I envision his facial features, but he exists in the EU "Legends" so unless there's something that prevents him for passing as the EU Thrawn, I would pick it up.

Awesome. I never read the EU novels when I was a kid but Thrawn is cool in Rebels and I'm liking the new Zahn novel so far. I'll definitely pick this up!

He looks awesome and I'll definitely pick it up. It's just made me want a 6" Tarkin figure more than ever though...

He's in the "maybe" for me, still need the 3 inch figure and the new novel.

Thrawn is a definite buy for me. I'm looking forward to him.

His face isn't exactly what I picture when i think of him, but I'll take what i can get, and in this case gladly.

This is a must buy for me. I loved the character in Zahn's original non canon trilogy. I am going to read the new nov tonight.

Eyes don't pop enough(are those even red?)
Face seems pretty lumpy.

Awesome! I was on another forum a couple weeks ago saying how I hope we get Thrawn at some point. Face could use some tweaking but overall I like it.

Great looking figure. I wonder if the reason we have not gotten a Tarkin is because of likeness rights, because at the end of Rogue one they thank the Peter Cushing Estate, so maybe his family has been hold this up and finally decided to release them since his was part of Rogue One and that we will get one down the line. The last Tarkin in any scale was the Death Star briefing correct? Except for the Revenge of the Sith different actor.

There was a Tarkin n TVC just a couple years ago. I do agree the time for Tarkin is now, but they have to know how much we want him. I feel we will see him super late this year or Spring 2018.

And guys, Hasbro has proved time and time again they don't reuse parts for this line. The only figures that share parts are Stormtroopers and the Shoretroopers. They only reuse when it actually makes sense to. Theyve had plenty of opportunities to reuse but haven't. Reusing and retooling moulds for different characters can be just as costly as a new one. With Thrawn if theyre had too do the bare minimum it'd he a new torso and skirt piece, like models these come on runners, and its a safe bet there are multiple parts on one mould. So they'd either have to fill in the parts they won't use and ruin the mould, or waste a ton of raw materials adding more work to reuse thst material. The moulds are expensive to produce and taking all these risks for ultimately a lesser quality figure isn't worth it.

Tarkin needs his own mould and I have full confidence he will. Tall slender body and all.

This does feel like an odd release, but expected. I figured he'd be somewhere in the lineup,as well as the 5POA figure. It's a shame no TBS figure though, I'd buy that one in nano second!

Maybe they feel Tarkin can be done anytime because he's already dead, but the fan base is there. Thrawn might have a smaller window.

The figure does look nice, and if he comes in the same case as Hera. I'll get him. If not, I won't go out of my way. This is just a game of chess, with Hasbro trying to convert me.

You can see from the pictures that Thrawn has the same arms as Krennic.

They have made no less than 5 Tarkins, not to mention the 12" figure. I'm pretty sure they have the likeness rights.

Actually they're not.

It's so much of an unnessicary hassle trying to cast just the 2 arms from the Krennic mould. They pay a sculptor to make the whole figure, they dont give Krennic's arms to them and say work around this.

If they did, then they also told the sculptor to copy the exact pattern of folds and wrinkles in the Krennic figure's sleeves. ;)

I'm with you, man. These convention exclusives drive me nutz. Luke's speeder is what is driving me really crazy. SDCC getting a more detailed version that can pop the hood....so lame. so very, very lame.

Their reasoning was they can charge more for a con exclusive than retail so more detail. BS!

I talked with their 6" scale guy and he said they'd likely make more this year for HTS after the con, we'll see about that.

I need that Thrawn though!

Thrawn deluxe set is a MUST HAVE for me! Wow!!!! Hopefully won't be too hard or expensive to find outside of SDCC....

Interesting, I'll probably get him. What's with the Gree helmet? Does it relate to his appearance on SW Rebels?
