Nice to see my good old Klaatu sample again ;). How did you find the skirt was a proto? That was discussed when I bought it and my understanding was it’s a production skirt.

Hi bud, It doesn’t have the top “leather part” and the material appears to be more fluffy. It’s most likely a production figure with an early sample skirt.

Hmmmm not sure about the leather part. Here’s the description I made in a FB post back in 2016 when it was not graded yet:

“This test sample Klaatu on 48 back-C 4-LOM cut card has just arrived. As Tom Derby has stated that he was not able to figure out if the figure inside the bubble was something different from a production figure, I'm guessing no one else could tell, right? ;)
The skirt is "fluffy fur" style but I understand Kenner production Klaatu was found with such skirt "variation" too. The faux leather part is not visible but I believe it's because of the way the skirt has been folded up in the bubble. I've zoomed on the back of the legs and at this point I can't see no markings though...”
