Not sure if the Duke & Cobra Commander 2 pack is worth $41.99. Seems a bit inflated for 2 figures.

You're paying for a small production run, all-new tooling, extra accessories -- which for this pack are the best yet -- and unnecessary extra packaging.

I feel like we've reached the point with Hasbro where any figure with more than 5 POA will cost $15 and up.

So is the vehicle line dead? The HISS and FANG seemed to move well around here. I don't think they realize how much they could sell a vintage-style boxed Night Raven for. Easy money.

Got charged for the Cobra Officer/Soldier O-Ring set middle of last week. So because its Hasbropulse, a week to ten days from now it should actually ship.

Saw that, it definitely brought back memories! I had the Tiger Force repaint. lol
The only drawback is that the figure literally belongs back in the early 80's.

There are now less than 250 left. They sold fast!

I honestly wasn't expecting it to sell out, but I think the price was right and the Stinger is/was a popular vehicle.

Agreed. Price was right and it was a smart choice. It sold briskly right from the get-go and all 7500 units were gone in roughly 8 hours.

Hopefully more O-ring goodies are planned.

Got in my o-ring cobra troopers from Hasbro Pulse. Shipping box was damaged pretty badly. Brown Hasbro outer box for the set was dinged pretty good. The box itself also had decent ding on the corner, but the cards inside seems to have come out OK. If not for all that packaging I'm sure the cards would have been destroyed based on how badly damaged the shipping box was.

Speaking of retro G I Joes, I recently acquired a vintage GI Joe figure case in a lot, that's in good shape except missing original trays and handle. Anyone interested in it? I do have 3 mini trays( for 4 figs each from a simular star world, tara toys 1970/80s case that I'll toss in, but they are not in best of shape). Case itself is in good to great condition considering from early 80s and may be ideal for storing small accessories that are bigger than a fig like a ski jet, motorcycle etc. $30 shipped w/ USA ( includes shipping and PayPal fees) * note: There is a bit of a ding in backside spine where the pic has most glare (5th pic)

My Cobra troopers arrived today. I'd be inclined to buy some of this run to keep carded if the bubbles weren't so gosh damn gawdy large.

They come with an impressive array of hardware. While it's just going to wind up in a baggie for all time, I do appreciate the extras, for the cost.

But again for the cost, this pissed me off...

Stress in the plastic at the rivet, so the elbow is a bit loose. Its a minor thing, but I mean, for $20.50 each... it shouldn't arrive out of the package like that. :cautious:

^ That seems to be a prevalent issue with these. And an unfortunate one. They still "work," but aren't as tight as they should be.

Received my Duke/CC pack today.
Unfortunately my Duke has a paint error, googly eyes. Not the worst thing ever, but frustrating, I'll email pulse and see if they can do anything but I'm doubtful they will.
Cobra Commander is top flight though, what a great, sharp, awesome figure.
I appreciate the fact we got a few less weapons and few more 'other' accessories with this pack.

That Duke issue is widespread and not just you. I've seen some theories that it's deliberate to more match the vintage one but I don't buy that. I think the left eye/eyebrow was misaligned on all of them.

Otherwise it looks like an awesome set. Mine arrives Wednesday.

For some reason that makes me feel better. I actually at first thought it was them trying to match the somewhat raised eyebrow on the cardback, then it looked just a little too off for that the longer I looked at it.

Wish hasbro did not give up the Walmart Retro modern Joe line, not crazy over the later wave with the Marvel bodies but I enjoyed the photoreal repaints of the 30th-50th figures. There was lots of unlreashed modern Joes that could've been made from their vault even.

Follow up to the Duke eyes issue. I contacted Hasbro who told me they couldn't send me a replacement because they didn't have any even though it was in stock on Pulse at the time. They did (graciously) tell me I could keep it and they'd send me something of equivalent value.
They sent the Classified Snake Eyes/Timber set.
Now, I don't want to seem ungrateful, I mean they sent me a $40 item to cover one half of a $40 item being defective and let me keep the defective item. But while it is the same brand, its not even the same line. Its like having a problem with a Star Wars retro figure 2 pack and getting a black series figure. Ah well. They tried I guess.

Synthoid Duke? Got the Megatron/Hiss from Amazon a few weeks ago. I love it. I transformed him a few times. The Cobra troops are from the Retro line from last year. They work pretty well.
