So happy we finally get Merrick's X-wing! I'm glad I held off on trying to customize one myself. I wonder what's going on with his astromech, if one will be included.

Personally, as an X-Wing fanatic, it’s because this X-Wing is an homage to the original X-Wings from ANH before they changed them to red. Plus, he seemed like a competent pilot and he’s the only person I’d like more of during the Cassian show that I otherwise have zero interest in.

With that said, I had no idea he was even “in demand.” I mean, the only merch for him was an Anovos helmet that was teased 3-4 years ago that’ll never be released

Yeah. I’m NEVER in the TVC forum but as soon as I saw this, I knew what scale it was and figured it’d get moved eventually so it wasn’t a big deal to just discuss.

In the live stream they said there was some fan petition going around asking for this

Not sure what other ship or large item I’d rather have though, but an easy pass for me.

I'm so excited for this. I have grown really tired of multiple variants of X-Wings but this one is better because it is Blue Squad. I'm going to start saving my pennies on this one for sure. Blue Squad forever!

Obviously that is the thought process. The open box returned carbon freezing chambers minus the Stormtrooper and even going back to the TLJ BB-8 set with Snoke beg to differ.

They didn't "wise up" to **** - it's a bad idea ripe for swaps and store returns. Selling a $100 ship that only a small segment of the fan base wants with an exclusive figure (that would sell fine on it's own) is just not a good idea. Instead of repainting and releasing another X-Wing give us the Snowspeeder again and put the figure out on its own.

Nobody can deny it’s just another variant but it’s an easy enough one for Hasbro to pump out as a Target exclusive. It should be easy enough for those interested to actually find it or just as easy to ignore for those that aren’t interested.

I highly doubt this took the place of any other vehicle people are wishing/hoping for so yeah, this is a nice exclusive right up my ally. And while I wasn’t aware of any petitions for it, good on those people who did. I appreciate them for making this happen,lol

There's the petition, and only 882 people (globally) seemed to support it. When it comes to repaints, Hasbro has now shown they will push those ahead while others linger with more demand (where the **** is Sim Aloo? lol). TVC is really dominated by repaints, repacks, and slight retools at this point - no denying it.
