It’s a good question to ask as it looks delicate as …. With those elongated piecesJust ask if the ship has armature back in those elongated engines and body...
Not yet on the price. According to their FB page the engines and cockpit dashboard light up. PO is sometime next weekHave we seen a price point yet ? Are the engines and cockpit lit ?
Yikes
We will start the pre-order of N1 at 11am Eastern Time on the 26th. In the past two days, we have been discussing cost issues with the factory. The base of the scene version is divided into pieces for each building, and we have added 6 lights (5 engine lights and cockpit dashboard lights) to the spacecraft. Currently, the factory's quotation is higher than that of Slave 1, but we will continue to negotiate with them
Space is a premium for me now. If I want one that big I will print it it will make a very good collectible though for somebody. That's a thick boy!
Same thing here. I am a fan of their stuff, but I saw that SnowSpeeder posting plus this one as well having structural issues with the AT-ST Walker. See screen shot attached. So their Slave 1 was $899 for the LE and $1299 for the SE.
I'm now somewhat put off ordering this down to a horror story I've seen on FB post where someone received a damaged snowspeeder - cockpit canopy was smashed off, pilot heads were broken off and one of the guns was all bent - and FL said that the customer could either find someone to repair it and FL would pay for the cost or for the customer to return it to FL at his expense and FL would repair it inhouse! No option for a refund for a replacement. Looks like FL are now getting involved on the FB post so hopefully he gets a resolution he is happy with
Congrats on the TOMY Inc. I have that one as well on PO. I just hope they don’t start shipping into Dec 2025 which is the crazy Christmas season and chances of damages during shipping increase exponentially with the large volume of shipping. This always happens, a new company comes online with great prices at first, then over time large price increases with each release. After shipping this will be $1100+ minimum, you could get their x-wing + tie fighter for the price of this and that was not even a year ago. I get this has light up but still….oh wellz first one I will be passing, just not big enough fan of the new stuff to drop 1k+ considering the amount of Star Wars ship replicas i already have in queue on top of the tomy enterprise
Just saw that on FB about structural issues on the AT-ST so sounds like it's best to avoid. It's a real shame as the N1 is one of my favourite ships and the FL version with Tatooine base does look really good.Same thing here. So unfortunately I am staying away from ordering directly from ForceLaboratory and will only seek pieces in the second hand market that have proven to be structurally solid with the passage of time.
The proper customer service approach should be to either replace or refund.
And return shipping should not be a burden for the customer.
Another company that I was a fan is Merlin Models. I was going to order their ESB AT-ST Kit from their website, which is not cheap. $1700 CAD for a kit is definitely not cheap. And that does not include the base. Base is only free and included on first round of production. Nonetheless, I was willing to pay that amount, given the quality of their products.
But my email to Joshua about having issues with the creation of my account never got a response. I attempted to reach out to them about this issue on one of their Facebook posts with same result. No answer.
I was a top fan of their products, but with this kind of customer service I won’t be ordering from them either. Nowadays Ther are plenty of small companies and private commissions that are happy to make you a kit or finished model. Not to mention the rise of STL files as 3D printing technologies.
Private commissions with a proven record is the way to go in my opinion. Manufacturers need to be careful, if customer service is poor, the word spreads out like wild fire in the collecting community thanks to social media.
If you are a company, social media can either make you or break you.
Exactly. 1000%Just saw that on FB about structural issues on the AT-ST so sounds like it's best to avoid. It's a real shame as the N1 is one of my favourite ships and the FL version with Tatooine base does look really good.
I've read some things about Merlin where they have not delivered kits that were ordered 2 - 3 years ago
Certainly going to just stick with companies, licensed or non-licensed, that have a history of producing quality product and excellent customer service.
I have asked by DM on Facebook regarding the structural issues. If I get any pictures I will post here.I’m passing on this one. Space is a premium and IMHO the city view should be the SE vs. LE plain view. The troubles posted here are concerning as well. Even the Fett blaster produced years ago some folks reported missing the add on Greeblies next to the pistol grips. Some folks got them others did not. Anybody have pictures of the structural issues that folks are reporting as I don’t do Facebook ?
Yeah the city base should have been the SE for my taste as well.I’m passing on this one. Space is a premium and IMHO the city view should be the SE vs. LE plain view. I'm not buying the FL N-1 , they have had issues with the AT-ST and the Snowspeeder , i have their Slave 1 on preorder order. This N-1 is very big and the long 'spears' or what ever they are called form the back of the ship and the two side engines may bend. I had this issue with my MYC N-1 and that's smaller than this one, i did fix it with hot water, from your suggestionSeems people are having to place acrylic tubes or circular legos to hold up the main body as it leans.
Not good when you spend $1000-$1100 USA between the model and shipping.
I am glad that you fixed it. Glad to hear my tip helped you. Hope it helps others since the hot water trick can be applied to different models when bending is present.I'm not buying the FL N-1 , they have had issues with the AT-ST and the Snowspeeder , i have their Slave 1 on preorder order. The very thin parts as you mentioned that could potentially bend being the ship so large doesn’t really concern me if I were ordering this model, since it’s an easy fix with hot water. I have done this on the N1 and Y-Wing from MYC purchased in the second hand market.I'm not buying the FL N-1 , they have had issues with the AT-ST and the Snowspeeder , i have their Slave 1 on preorder order. To be safe I guess, but it is such a beautiful model, so a real pity to have to stick a post in the middle. But a clear acrylic rod would be best.I have not had any problems with my FL ATST. I will consider a thin acrylic rod now so I can future proof it.

They seem to have recognized the issue and will be shipping a support rod out to existing customers.I would love to see some photos of these structural issues people are having, first I've heard of it, I have all the FL ships and models and no issues at all.
