WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I Thought some of the previous figures from this series were cool looking but this guy I have to jump him up to the front of the line! I am ordering several.

Didn't this first appear in Rebels? Looks very familiar...

Aha, here we go. The Imperial combat driver...

Hadn't thought of this as a figure I'd want from J:FO, but seeing it now, hot damn do I ever want it. (No pun intended.)

And though I might have unconsciously noticed the similarities while playing the game, it's cool to see that the Imperial Flametroopers are so closely related to the Snowtroopers. It makes sense: both are dealing with extreme environmental conditions around them and need extra protection.

What really bothers me is this is like the third design we have for an Imperial Flamethrower, someone needs to tell Lucasfilm to pick a design and make sure continuity is maintained.

I agree. This Flametrooper, the FO Flametrooper & the Incinerator Trooper from Mando, don't look anything alike. It'd be nice to see a little cohesion in the design progression.
Also the Flamethrower Snowtrooper from Star Wars Legion.

It's a weak defence, but the Incinerator Trooper is a design from 20 in-universe years after the J:FO Flametrooper, and the First Order Flametrooper is from 25 years after Mando. That's plenty of time for things to change.

But yeah, it's a shame we couldn't have just got the Mando Incinerator Troopers (which I think is a cooler design) in J:FO, but obviously that's because J:FO came out before the first episode was even released. Then again, given that design was based on TFU which J:FO already shares a ton with.... maybe a little bit of communication on what to reference would have been good.

Maybe someone can answer a question for me, as I haven't played Jedi: Fallen Order. In what sort of environments do these Flametroopers appear in the game?

I ask because I figured the Flametroopers were a variety of Snowtrooper (based on how they are dressed). I assumed that was why they differ from the Incinerator Trooper in The Mandalorian.

Anyway, I like the design and plan to buy a couple of these. However, would it have bankrupted Hasbro to give us a flame effect for this figure, as they did for the Incinerator Trooper?

Be careful the Nightbrother ships 9/1 while the Flametrooper is 8/1.

I ordered separately to avoid any backup.

Order in and good to go. Anyone ever have to change the shipping address with a preorder
at GameStop? Just curious...

Always! It sets the address to the place in Texas that, I assume, is their corporate offices...and I have to remember to change to my actual house lest Gamestop ship my toys to themselves.

I'm extremely picky now with 6", so I passed on this one but ordered the Nightbrother. At $26.99, plus shipping, plus tax...minus space in my house, it's a decision I have to make.

I know not everyone can, or would want to do it, but I've found it well worth getting two or three of everything. It helps ensure I get one mint, and I can almost always find someone who wants the extra in my family, local collecting group, or even Ebay. Worst case, on a couple occasions I've had to return a figure in-store. It sure beats paying shipping on a single figure imo.

At least when you order two, there's "free" shipping...

That's what I meant, if I have to shell out $5 or $6 shipping for a single figure, might as well put that towards a second or third figure to get the free shipping. The extras are fairly easy to offload. Which, reminds me, I need to open a Classifieds thread on here at some point.

With a bit of new tooling these might work as Clone Wars Flame Troopers. I might buy a couple as stand ins.

yes, space really gets sucked up with 6 inch Black Series boxes for me.

I totally agree. This figure should have included some kind of flame effect. I guess Hasbro was being cheap again.

Me as well, but I did the opposite...passed on the Nightbrother, but picked up the Flametrooper.

Despite my casual interest in this due to its McQuarriness, $26.99 is a definite dealbreaker. Even if it goes on sale, we'll be lucky if it dips down to $22.99. All you overseas collectors are smirking at this, I know... ;)

And they even have a helmet for the figure already too.

I wasn't going to order the Flametrooper because of the price hike. However, I thought about it and decided that it was better to pre-order him and regret it after, than to not pre-order him and regret it after.
