Thanks for the pic. Wish they did what they did with the AtSt and gave us extra cannon that was not missile firing to swap. That would have made it even better.

The vehicle depicted on the box is amazing because it looks like it has a big fat front nose. But the actual vehicle is something else. Painting it and removing the gun will make it a cool mini rig, but just getting one: mainly for the figure.

I notice a lot of folks are dissing this vehicle for the turret. I'll admit, in a vacuum, it seems kind of random, but being that its clearly a homage to this, I wonder if that sways anyone's opinion?

I assume the Equipment boxes in the front are non-removable? Do any of them open to store stuff?

I think the ship doesn't really look Military enough, but for a land Trader or supply speeder, it would be pretty cool.

Thanks for posting a pic.

Yeah they are non-removable and don't open. That would be a pretty cool feature to have.

I don't really dislike the concept of the gun, as much as its execution. A more detailed and preferably non-firing weapon would have made a big difference. Though it sounded a bit negative, I actually do like the design, just not the gun.

Profile strikes me as similar to this blast from the past:

A to-scale gun is actually included in the Amazon set, which is hopefully included in an individual release eventually. I know I'd buy whatever basic figure it came with just to have properly scaled guns.

The Indiana Jones troop car suffered from the same thing. The MG-34 included with it looked horrible, but thankfully a good replacement was available because of the DLT-19.

I've compared that to the one pictured on the box art, but they don't appear to be the same. Maybe I'm wrong though?

I really like the figure that comes with it. Wonderfully done. I like that armored parts of the figure are very glossy and the parts that would be fabric are matte.

Maybe after I see the movie I'll be interested in getting this. I'd like to see what kind of action it gets. It does look neat though, and I bought the Disney Store diecast version of this speeder.

I enjoy this one a lot. If they had made the ordinace boxes openable it would have been a cool way to store weapons and things. Seems like a simple thing to make work, too. Openable and removable would have been even cooler, but more costly. I enjoy the removable turret, actually. I think it's a fun touch.

I thought some would open for weapons storage. Is it possible to unscrew the bottom and take the molded box pieces out and use the front area for more troops?

I'd like to get this, but the Price here is a bit too high right now. Once we see some Christmas sales, then I'll probably get this. I'm interested to see how this is used in the film.

The storage boxes do come out with disassembly, but it leaves sort of a shelf area, divided by a bulkhead, with cylindrical shafts in the center. Might be able to Dremel it out for a bit more space.

Picked it up mainly for the trooper but my son digs it. He has all his clones piled in it. A paint wash would go a long way to help it.

One thing about these new vehicles that I find a little distracting is the fact that they were designed for 5 POA. Just look at the steering mechanism (I don't know if steering wheel would be technically correct)...it is so freakin' wide.

I know it's needed to be so wide so the Snowtrooper can hold onto both handles. It just looks weird and if these weren't designed for 5 POA, I think some small things like the steering mechanism would not look so wide. Can you imagine how tiring it would be for the driver to driver this thing because they have to have their arms so wide apart like that.

Kind of an uninspired design. My TRU restocked these and I almost bit. The figure looks really good, but the vehicle just doesn't have that spark. Very boring - and even with a dedicated collection room, there's only so much room for vehicles unless you want it wall-to-wall and that looks awful, so I'm a lot more discerning than I used to be with even smaller-sized vehicles.

I think its a neat design but something about it does not scream "Imperial" (I know they are called the First Order now) Just does not look like the OT Walkers and such. At least the vintage MTV-7 looked like it would fit in.

Sad that the Duck Dynasty figures I just bought on clearance for $3.50 for this photo have more articulation.

One more shot, for those who might be interested in modding the front deck.

And, I just found the preview! :)

Ok, I originally posted that I did not like the look of this thing. Now I own one and it has grown on me.

Thanks for the pics Jaeger45. Glad to see that some simple changes can be made on this Thing.

I'd like to get this at some Point and use it as a non-Military vehicle.

The vehicle itself just looks way too cheap and under-sized (which is why I haven't picked one up yet), but damned if the figure that comes with it isn't one of the best looking in the line, so far. THAT is what keeps attracting me to this thing.

When I initially saw the pics. of this Snowspeeder & the Snowtrooper that came with this, I definitely wanted to get the toy. The vehicle & trooper both reminded me of a Ralph McQuarrie-ish concept painting from back in the OT days.

However, I probably won't get this due to the trooper not being 5POA - this is disappointing, since even back in the TPM days, though the regular 3.75 figures were 5POA, it's worth nothing that the figures that came with the vehicles/beasts (Qui-gon with the Big fish, Darth Maul with the Sith Speeder, etc.) all typically had more articulation than the regular carded figures. This was probably at least partially done so they could look decent in the vehicles....

Conversely, this TFA Snowtrooper looks extremely awkward & ridiculous in that limited pose in this vehicle - what a P.O.S.

My favorite thing shown so far. Will be grabbing two at launch and probably another set after the movie.

Just saw this today, the figure looks awesome with the red shoulder drape. I beg of you (assuming that you have it) please tell me if the vehicle is good to look at in the flesh and well-detailed. Cheers.

I bought this on Force Friday. I think it looks pretty good. I don't like the gun on the from too much. It looks like a BAW part.
It would look a lot cooler with a second Snowtrooper riding shotgun (I'm not opening my wave 2 FO Snowtrooper).
The vehicle itself is not awful, though.

Not as cool as Rey's speeder or the TIE's. But I like it.
I'd be lying if I said I bought it for any other reason than just to have the FO Snowtrooper Officer.

I'd very much like to purchase all the vehicle series, but prices are prohibitive where i am, so i refuse. Sales may save the day though. I'm definitely not happy with the quality of this one though, the oh so obvious cheap&nasty plain plastic of the vehicle is downright disappointing. But for the right price, i'm in. Bring on the Christmas sales...

Hopefully all the parents will overlook these vehicle toys and consider them of not much use to their kiddies:grin:... more for us:whistling:. Luckily the stores here are awash with these vehicle+figure configurations, so i expect a few should survive for my beady spider-fingers on sale day. I want that stormy with the red drape on his right shoulder since Hasbro didn't see fit to put it on the base carded version.

Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?
The base version without it is like a chocolate gateau with chocolate flakes on top, but the vehicle+figure version with the red drape is like a chocolate gateau with chocolate flakes and a few well placed cherries on top. Tops it off nicely and looks the part perfectly, very appropriate to break the bland look and belongs there.

Every time you say drape, I picture something like what Phasma sports. Just FYI, these are pauldrons.

But the fact that it's deliberately colored red to stand-out and is only on one shoulder, is inconsistent with the fact that Knights of the Middle ages had them on both shoulders. The one on the stormtrooper doesn't seem to be serving a protective function, so i'm thinking maybe it's indicative of rank or maybe just to indicate the squadron their in.

They absolutely denote rank/position. The Snowtrooper officer has red. The Stormtrooper office figure from the Entertainment Eart Assault Walker is also red. So officers are red. The Stormtrooper sergeant has a black Paulson, I believe. There are varying colors in the troop builder pack too. Take a look at them to see what I mean.

That's where I'm at as well. There is one store that usually has good Prices on vehicles around this time of year for Christmas and they send out 10% off coupons as well for toys. Unfortunately, they've only gotten the speeder bike and walker packs and the MF and mashers, but nothing from the Rey's Speeder class nor the snowspeeder class, not even 5 poa or 6" figures. I'm still hoping they'll get some stuff in the next few weeks. They usually lower the Price by about 5 Euro or use that as a starting Price. Then with the 10% coupon it might put the vehicle within the range I'd buy it for.
