Disappointing (non) transaction with Yoda (with him as the buyer).
I had a Vader hilt on eBay, to which Jason contacted me that he'd like it, but could not purchase right away. He asked me to hold it for him for a couple days until he could pay for it.
I accepted this arrangement given his good (thus far) reviews on this forum (which I joined for the express purpose of easily communicating with Yoda), I also offered a discount due to saving on eBay fees.
This journey began March 18, 2016 (11 weeks ago).
We exchanged weekly emails, me asking for an update, and Jason saying he was still waiting on some sales on his end to pay for my saber hilt.
The last communication I received from Jason was on April 13, in which he re-iterated that he was still waiting on some sales, to which I replied that it was cool, and I could still wait, and had his Vader hilt put aside for him...
I again emailed Jason the following week, as well as every week since, to which I have had no reply (6-7 polite emails asking for updates).
On eBay I also emailed him (having first communicated on eBay with him). I emailed him on this platform another 6-7 times.
Finally I also emailed Jason on his gmail account from two separate email accounts that I have.
Still no response from him. Nothing.
Although I could see he has recent activity on RS, and that his eBay account had new items for sale being put up, I thought maybe he was just not getting my emails.
So as a test I opened a new eBay account using a different name, and asked a question on an item that he was selling.
Lo and behold, he answered that email, and signed it "Jason", so I knew it was him.
I then responded to that new email by saying it was actually me, and again I was wondering what any updates were on the hilt I had taken off eBay and put aside for him.... No response again...
Listen, I'm open for anyone that would like to see screenshots of my RS, eBay or gmail accounts which show dates and frequency of my communications to Jason/Yoda.
I was courteous, and I always just asked when he'd be getting the funds and complete the transaction...
So I'd have to say that I am very disappointed with Jason/Yoda. So other sellers may have to beware of this potential.
Looks like there are plenty others with good transactions with him, but I certainly am not.
I suppose I feel it was a lack of respect not to respond to my emails. He approached me to purchase and put aside the item. He asked for this.
If he had changed his mind, he should have apologized for taking up my time, explained his situation, and moved on.
Instead he chose to ignore, disrespect, and now 3 months later, I still have the item collecting dust.
Again, I am more then willing to answer any questions on this matter, provide screenshots, or anything else his potential sellers/buyers would like me to provide.
Thanks
