I hear that no wheeled luggage will be permitted into the convention center (like Javitz in NY)... is there any truth to this??? It seems Gen-Con doesn't have clue to this issue (go figure...). Please reply ASAP
I've never seen anyone stop someone from entering with a cart. I hope it's a small one, though -- those aisles can get crowded!

I apologize I misunderstood. I do see your point about the photos. That would bite to get all of your photos Sunday or Monday night and everyone has left.
My last shift is the last shift on Monday night.

You're getting pre-signed AUTOGRAPHS not just photographs. They are already signed and you get them ALL after your last shift. Otherwise I could not guarantee you no duplicates plus I want you to work all your shifts before you get "paid". Last year we tried to keep the actors around to personalize a little bit after the last shift Monday, but there's nothing more I can do there. Besides, if you happen to get a Carrie you won't have had the opportunity anyway.

Anne, quick question on something that came into my head while reading the 'Guest Escort' duties.

Any problem with us (and any other job that has a fixed work area) writing down things to pass on to the next shift on a Post-It and sticking it on the edge of the table to prevent forgetting?

Anne - if we come early to the orientation on Thursday and are not scheduled for the first shift, can we buy items (pictures and coupons, etc) from OPX while we are in the hall? Or will we need to exit out and come back in at 12:00 when the doors officially open?

No problem Anne, it's something that we use at work all the time.

Another question - with some of the shifts that you still have to fill, if they're still empty the day before would it be feasible for those of us who are able to give a couple of hours but not whole shifts to help fill them (especially if we're already signed up for 4+ shifts), or do you want to keep things at complete shifts?

I was just in the exhibit hall to see Anne, and asked her this question. Her answer is that it is just too difficult to keep track of anything less than a full shift for anybody, so no, while she appreciates the support, she won't be able to let people work less than a full shift right now.
