Welcome back Rebelscum! Several models of the Millennium Falcon were used to make the original Star Wars trilogy – but the most iconic was built for the action sequences in the second movie, The Empire Strikes Back. The Fanhome version is an official replica, built to the same scale.

The molded die-cast metal and resin components make this ultimate Millennium Falcon replica extremely easy to construct, with an unprecedented level of realism.

-The sizeable, completed model measures 32-inches long by 23-inches wide.
-Hull parts are supplied pre-finished, but expert modelers can apply their own battle scars and weathering to add extra authenticity and personalize the model.
-The completed Falcon also has working LED effects, and can be wall- or table-mounted, with the landing legs and boarding ramp displayed in open or retracted positions.

Build your knowledge about the legendary Millennium Falcon and its design and evolution as construction progresses with a full-color magazine that accompanies each month’s shipment of components. Discover how Industrial Light & Magic’s model makers designed and built the many props and sets that were used to bring the Falcon to life on screen. Packed with little known facts and anecdotes, these issues feature rare behind-the-scenes photography and revelations about the real story behind the Star Wars movie magic.

LED Lighting Effects
The Millennium Falcon model includes internal wiring and LEDs that can be connected to an internal battery or external low-voltage power source. Separate systems can be turned on to illuminate the rear sublight drives, forward floodlights and internal cockpit lighting.

Moving Parts
The exterior of the Millennium Falcon includes many fully articulated parts that include the upper and lower quad laser cannons and the rectenna dish. The Falcon’s boarding ramp is also movable and will lock into either flight position or landing position for display mounting.

Screen Accurate Interior details
While the outer shell of the Falcon is inspired by the filming miniature used in the movies, it also features removable upper panels that reveal interior details seen in all three movies – including the cockpit, the main hold with its engineering station and dejarik hologame board, gun controls for the quad laser cannons, and Han Solo’s smuggling compartments.

Fanhome Millennium Falcon builders will receive a variety of special additional items at various stages of their subscription that include a limited-edition T-shirt featuring a Millennium Falcon design as well as a hand painted die-cast miniature of the ship, a ceramic mug and baseball cap and special binders to archive all the collected magazines. For a limited time, subscribers paying with PayPal will receive an additional gift from Fanhome – a durable backpack emblazoned with the emblem of the Rebel Alliance and Resistance and an eye-catching Falcon design.

This looks pretty cool but I'm having trouble figuring out what the total overall cost for the premium subscription is and how long it's actually going to take to get all the parts. Anyone do any of these before?

I messaged them and they actually replied very quickly with the rundown:

Thank you for contacting Fanhome.

Please kindly find the details about how the Millennium Falcon subscription works:

The first package costs $1.95.
The 2nd package costs $51.57.
From the 3rd package until package 6 it costs $90.7 each.
From package 7 until package 20 it costs $95.7 each.
Only the last package (21) costs $76.56.

In total, the Millennium Falcon collection has 21 packages, a total number of issues of 100, and you will be able to receive just one package per month until the end of the collection.

If you have any other questions, we are here for you.

Have a great day,

Fanhome Team

So, that means it is a total of $1,832.68 over 21 months.

Wondering if this is an updated re-release of the De Agostini Falcon? It's the same scale, same number of packages but I don't think the De Agostini version had interior details and I can't remember if lighting was included or not.

I recall there were some quality issues with the De Agostini version that saw some corrections during the production run.

$1800 is a lot of cash and I'm not really a fan of waiting 2 years before I can complete a kit, although at the rate I actually build kits, that's not really a problem :) My main issue is I just don't have the room for Falcon that size, even though it looks awesome.

It’s exactly the same as the DeAgo. It had interior details and lights as well (albeit very mediocre). I ended up getting a custom light kit for all the red landing lights on the underside of the hull and a pulsating engine light. The first few parts they send you have panels painted (red, grey, etc) but they stop painting them down the line. Ended up having to paint and weather everything myself. And I bought a lot of 3D printed upgrades of greeblies and figures to make it more accurate. I think I spent around $1600 for the kit. Prolly spent another $400-500 on paint and tools and upgrades. It was fun to build over the two year subscription but it takes patience. Was my first time really making a proper model. Taught myself how to do everything by watching YouTube lol

The sounds were programmed into a speaker I affixed under the table

Love that. I have all the parts for the DeAgostini Falcon, but I will get this anyway. I might attempt to build this one.
