It might be four Praetorian Guards but each with different weapons. It's been said that each guard will have their own specialized weapon, but I do hope the four pack will have some FO Troopers and not just Guards.
Oh if they have different weapons and helmets that is better. I hope they have some paint variation too

According to the leaked Force Friday II checklist it's called Elite 4 pack. Recall that Snokes guards are called the Elite Praetorian Guard(s). I honestly think the original rumor which stated it would contain emperor's royal guard (boring), Senate guard, shadow guard (recolored erd) and one snoke guard is not accurate. Of course we will see soon.

I am half hoping it's a mixed era set so I'll have some new figures soon, but other half hoping it's all Praetorian Guards so I don't have to worry about it.
If it is all Praetorians I see it sitting after intial shipments sellout. 4 very similar figures for 90 bucks? Ehhh...

This of all the people who rebuy the saga waves of repack and such, there's plenty of suckers *cough* hardcore collectors who will buy any and every variant.
Plus it's like a troop building kit as well.

Yeah, For all the vocal people who don't like these guys, I just don't see this set being around for much long.
The original rumor was right about it being a Guard 4-Pack, and about it being a Gamestop Exclusive - it stands to reason they were right about which figures it contains. The Royal Guard and Shadow Guard would come from the same existing mold. The Praetorian Guard would be pretty much the same as the single release. Only the Senate Guard would be new. So Hasbro would essentially be asking people to spend ~$80 for one all new figure, one repaint, and two re-packs. That sounds like them.

Which leaked checklist? Mine? The lists has been updated since then to reflect the original leaked name "Guards of Evil" 4 pack.

I really don't see how they could do a multi-purpose 4 pack... Senate Guard, cool. Shadow Guard, anything from TFU is a win. Praetorian, good. But another ERG? It's not like you can make it different at all.
It's not like getting more than one of this set would make sense. It will sell yes but after awhile it will still be around... These big 4 packs don't really sell well overall. I'm not saying no one will want it, just after hype dies down, after looking at almost 100 dollar price tag after tax, people will put thier collecting dollars elsewhere. It's gonna be like the other sets and go on sale, but remember Gamestop stores are small. They won't want to hang onto a bunch of these in favor of new merchandise.
Fingers crossed for a markdown seeing how no one asked for this.
I haven't had the best of luck with Gamestop Exclusive. I don't know that they order enough for these sets to stick around. If its 4 different Praetorean Guards, I'm in, and will buy it as soon as I see it available.

I didn't mean a mixed bag, I was talking about all preatorian guard variants, which I think is just helmets and weapons.

Likewise if it is a rehash emperor royal guard and a recolor based pack I will pass for a sale. Having a chance to get all 5 Praetorians in a similar timed release would be great. What's the alternative? Hasbro releases one guard now, another in a 4 pack, and then just three more variants down the road? It's not like you can buy multiples and pass them off as other guards technically. And with the Snoke exclusive and heavy promotion of his throne and the Praetorians, it would make sense to release everything. However, we know Hasbro doesn't always make the most immediately logical decisions. Here's looking for Praetorian #4 in 2018.

Will there be a regular 6" Praetorian Guard release on Force Friday? I remember reading that on a checklist somewhere.
I believe he's slated for a second wave release - not sure if he'll be around on FF, but definitely this fall.
I had no idea what the Praetorian Guard looked like, but after a google image search, I would definitely buy one, if not a special fancy four pack!!

There are also rumors of a Snoke w/Throne Gamestop exclusive so maybe this is a companion set to that one?

It seems like it's becoming more widely accepted that this will be a 4 pack of Praetorian Guards. I wonder if one will be a repack of the guard that's getting an individual release - would save me a purchase on FF if that is when they're dropping. It would be an expensive trip getting them + Snoke/throne, hopefully we can get a little more info on them and their release.
Rumor is there is 5 total different guards, so it would make sense that we have the 1 carded one, and a 4 pack, if accurate.
I know it's not Gamestop, but I asked at EB Games up here today. He searched for Black Series items and we saw nothing but old stock like C3P0.
So unless it pops up on their website for Friday, they have no idea what is arriving (if anything).

That's about the same answer I got at our Gamestop as well. I know the manager at one store and he hasn't heard anything that might be coming.

This sounds pretty exciting - I'd be psyched to get the Blue Guard! and the Shadow Guard, is basically the Royal Guard mold, but in black?
Don't see the point in adding the Shadow Guard, are they even considered canon at this point? As an evolution pack it should show how the guard evolved through the movies. They could instead have both version of the blue Senate Guard, the one with the open face and the one with the black visor.

The latest word is that it won't be an exclusive at all. The Senate Guard would be of interest with lots of collectors, as would the new TLJ guard. I question too the shadow guard addition. Its a cool character design but is only from TFU game/comic right? Seems like a better character could have taken that spot. Oh well, probably wont buy this one anyways.
