Great piece! For some reason I was thinking it would be in the $549-599 range, if only because of the clean finish and fear markings. Nonetheless, I'm in 100%!
I guess the Legend version didn't make it?

Great to see this finally being released. I hope to god that efx make an announcement to let us know if the weathered legend edition is cancelled though. I don't want to order this and then see the Legend advert show up after I've just received the limited version!

Years ago I predicted that eFX would start selling Limited Editions at Legend prices. We're not there yet but we're another $100 closer. Who called it? This guy B)

Looks like EFX changed their logo.
Wouldn't you know it. Wait absolute ages for this and they release the pre-order in the only week I'm away on holiday this year!
I don't like it either. The previous version looked nicer but I do see that they are trying to incorporate their relation to films in the new logo.
As for the helmet. I'm not a bucket collector, so it's not for me. I must admit that it's a nice looking helmet, but that price is a bit shocking. I'm sure it won't matter to those who have been waiting for this for some time now. Good luck everyone!

Yeah, the price knocked the wind out of me. I was expecting the $500 range. I don't think I can justify it anymore.
Will it be available via the eFX website only?
Wow $700 is a lot. Once I factor in shipping tax and customs for UK this will be well over £550 for me ($940+). I paid less than that for my efx Vader LE (and my MR ROTS LE for that matter) and that can't be right surely? Looks nice but this is an easy pass for me. Good luck to everyone who is in for this one though!
I second this. Hopefully Gino can let us know if the weathered one is no longer in the works. I really prefered the weathered look.

Cant wait to get this, but have to agree the price is a little steep. I really hope the weathered version happens at some point also. Will that be the legend? New Logo is ok,I guess.
The description says there was no scanning involved in the making of this helmet so why isn't efx calling this a Legend?

$699 would be OK for a Legend Edition, sky high for a Limited Edition. I was so excited by the announcement and the price tag (plus no LEGEND factor) wiped out the emotion.

The price is too much. It really is. I've been at this a long time, and I'm getting to the point where one more helmet really won't add much to my life. This is a second-tier trooper. A great piece, but I am re-evaluating whether or not I need it because of the price. Too bad.

I don't know, but I think if they had another weathered version and called it a Legend and charged an extra $100 people would not buy it. People are already saying they won't buy this clean version because of the $699 price tag. So, because of that they just decided to release a Limited version.
While I personally will still pick one of these up I also think the $699 price tag is pushing the limit for a Limited Edition Helmet of this type.

Unless efx has changed how they define what a Legend is, the use of the same materials as the original is irrelevant in their Legend definition. That's been stated by Gino and Bryan on several occasions.

I sure hope its not more than an extra $100 for the spray paint.
If they price the Legend the same as the Legend Vader, that would be a mistake.
Understandable, but I am not sure how just some spray paint is enough to distinguish the Legend version from the Limited version.
I suppose it will also depend on what premium they will charge for the weathering which will determine if collectors will purchase the Legend version or not.
All in all still a nice helmet and I will be buying one of them.

efx can we get a supplier for New Zealand? I still can't get my hands on the wedge helmet. Importing one would cost a huge amount as we have to pay high import tax

Exactly. That's what I'm confused about. If there was no scanning involved then we should be seeing two Legends: weathered and clean.
That might make more sense. Maybe they can call it the Legendary Dirty Trooper.
I'm not as put off by the price on this as so many seem to be. The Wedge was $600 and this is probably a more costly piece to produce with the flip front so an extra $100 doesn't seem too bad to me.

The only difference between the Legend and Limited Vader Helmet is the paint job so why would this be aby different?
