Can't wait to see the final face, the hand painted one looks good but slightly off.
As much as I appreciate the goggles and hydrospanner the gas mask would have been much nicer and actually useful. Hope we get those masks for the mynock scene somehow.

Love the accesories. Bespin Han will probably be next year. They have to make their coin on young Solo this year.
Best reveal today IMO.
I will get this no matter what.
And they actually got the face sculpt pretty good this time!
This is my favorite outfit for Leia and I actually find her far more attractive like this than in her ROTJ "slave" outfit. I'll definitely buy this as long as the final production version of the face looks good.

So are you saying the face paint apps we've seen so far are hand painted and not the photo-real (on both the glam shot and the NY Toy Fair display version)?

Looks good. But for a little extra effort they could have given it swappable hands and swappable boots. Bespin escape and Hoth all in one.

The flesh to me looks very matte and looks exactly like all other hand painted faces they've shown. If you look on other pics you can see the inside of her head is cast in white, also her knee pins are the crude flat ones seen in preproduction figures. It also seems to be lacking the dot matrix look they have really close up.
Something about the shape of the face is off. Like her cheeks and chin don't taper off enough.
I want to be in love with it but like Tarkin I'm reserving final judgments until we see one further down the production process. I'm just saying I'm sure you guys will be even more impressed once we see what we'll actually be owning.
From the photos I've seen of the prototype, the facial features seem too pronounced and too sharply defined. Especially the forehead, which protrudes out from her face way too much and is too angular. I'm hoping that things smooth out a bit with the production figure.
I'm also glad that it looks like Hasbro hasn't overdone it with the grime paint washes. This was a big problem that I had with the 2010 TVC Hoth Leia. I don't recall a scene in ESB where Leia fell into multiple puddles of mud and then refused to hose herself off afterwards.

Can't wait for this one. I would be even more stoked when they release an Endor Leia in poncho.
I'm excited for this figure. And everything looks great except for the face. Don't get me wrong, its not origianl release ANH Leia bad. But with this new face sculpt technology they are using now, and all the other amazing faces I've seen, I just hoped for better. And maybe the final product will be. But I dont think its as good as like Rey or Tarkin. I'm buying though!
Finally it's my turn after a while to say I'm more or less uninterested in something. I generally care not for Hoth Rebels. The only Hoth Rebels I really like are the individual snowspeeder pilots. And maybe Major Derlin.

Isn't it interesting? I mean, it just occurred to me; we call Han in that jacket "Bespin Han," but he wears the same outfit from the tail end of the Hoth sequence until just before he's frozen in carbonite. So it's less his "Bespin outfit" and more "his outfit for most of the movie."
With a Major Derlin we'd be two figures into making a custom Cheers cast (Woody coming from the Solo movie)... :grin:

I’m pretty sure it’s happening, even if it ends up being exclusive somewhere. A few months ago JTA posted a rumor report featuring him, and they’re usually on the mark correct. Plus, he was specifically mentioned in that survey Hasbro sent out last year.
The idea of an OT Han with face printing tech has me shook.
Same thing with "Bespin Luke" happens, even though he was wearing that outfit on Dagobah first.

I think it has to do with how the Hoth and Dagobah have their own unique variants whereas Bespin only has that specific outfit even if it's used in other locations. I mean say Hoth Luke and Han, it's more their heavy snow gear. Say Dagobah Luke and it's usually the tank top (Bespin outfit minus jacket). Now Bespin Luke is always the full fatigues and Bespin Han has the jacket until the Carbonite scene at least.
True, but, well, I mean, heck, is that shot of Han on the cardback even from anywhere in Cloudy City? Looks like the Falcon to me.
I think it's the med bay on Hoth actually. LOL
