I've been playing this game a lot lately thanks to the addition of Grievous and Obi-Wan. I finally managed to get Grievous to level 26 so I could upgrade my favorite cards to the fourth tier. Haven't played to much as Obi-Wan but still managed to get him to level 16 and will continue to work on him here and there.
But there is so much wrong with this game I want to take some time away from it, if only I didn't like Star Wars so much and had something else to play. LOL
-When I get attacked by a Lightsaber Hero as soon as they start striking me everything locks. I cannot run. I cannot jump. I cannot roll. I cannot trigger any abilities. Yet when I'm playing as a Lightsaber Hero I find whoever I'm attacking can easily do all of these things. If it's a Hero packing a blast like Bossk or Boba Fett they typically just casually dodge to the side while I hack them and headshot me.
-On the topic of Lightsabers, what is the deal with blocking? I was under the impression if your stamina drained down you couldn't block anymore. But all the time I see guys just put a block up and you can't break through it. They just stand there, Lightsaber(s) up, and you can't do anything. How are they bypassing the stamina drain on this? Seems like a glitch people are taking advantage of. I try the same thing and my stamina drains, so I gotta do something else while it regenerates.
-Luke's abilities still need a major buff. I have FORCE PUSH and REPULSE to the fourth tier but lots of time players within the radius, especially other Heroes, are not affected by either. IMO there should be no way to block these. You get Force Pushed, you're flying backwards. End of story.
-Grievous's abilities really suck. The THRUST SURGE takes way to long. When you trigger it and he puts all four Lightsabers out to lunge forward, is enough time for most anyone who knows what's happening and roll off to the side. Grievous lunges forward and with the target having stepped out of the way he does this weird windmill thing that disorients you.
UNRELENTING ADVANCE is to slow as well. Sure you can deflect attacks from directly in front of you and damage players who just stand there, but anything from the side or behind will quickly take care of you as a threat. Whenever I'm playing against Grievous and they trigger this, I simply move off to the side or if I can get behind and unload my weapon. Easy way to take down this guy.
Both of these abilities, even at the fourth tier with high damage, are useless. For Grievous I strictly rely on regular Lightsaber hacking and the CLAW RUSH ability to knock opponents down. I still love playing as Grievous. He's one of my favorite characters from the franchise and his a lot of fun to play as. But yeah, those abilities, just terrible.
-The modes where you have to pick the ion disruptors or rockets to attack a large vehicle need a change. I'm finding that over a year later people have learned the best spots to fire them from. As a result people know where to go to right off the hop to thwart this. I almost never pick these up anymore because I know I'm getting dropped almost immediately when I move into position to fire.
I just finished GA on Naboo as the Clones. We were a strong team throughout but we only got the MTT down to 94. As as soon as we picked up the ion weapons we were getting taken out. So myself, and many other players on the team, simply didn't pick them up. I find this scenario is becoming more common as time goes on.
What should be changed here is how the carrier is marked. Have it so you need to be in extremely close proximity, like close line of sight, to identify who is carrying. That way you might still know the locations where the carrier will be going to, but if there are multiple opponents running around you won't be able to single out the carrier quickly. Or just remove it completely. Have it so a Specialist with the binos need to mark the carrier for the rest of the team or something.
The other thing they could change is range. Have it so you don't need to be so close with the weapon to fire it.
-Heroes vs Villains is so unbalanced. Feast or famine. Either the team you're on slaughters the other team, or you get slaughtered. Not to often is it a back and forth affair down to the final Hero. I thought EA had a system in place to ensure more balanced teams, but it doesn't seem that way.
On top of that HvV is just a mess anyway. When you're the target run away. If you're attacking group up and mash the attack button against the target. Make dumb emotes after every kill. There isn't much strategy, or enjoyment in this mode. I just play it so much to level up heroes.
