Droid Suggestions?

-Perhaps we could start a BAD tournament the likes of which was done for Cantina denizens and skiff guards? (And, Rune_Haako, Kalani would also be a great choice for a BAD)

From the ARC 170 Elite Squadron Battle Pack, this is the "Droid With No Name". Subtle differences, but Hasbro have done worse on purpose.

His name would B R4-C7 :whistling:

Well un42nately, I can't edit my above posting:

I would like to see previously released Astrodroids redone using the B.A.D. format ;):
Screen accurate Astrodroid liveries please :p
Any non-R4-G9 based R2/R4 unit
Any non-B.A.D. based R3 unit
Any non-B.A.D. based R4 unit
Any non-B.A.D. based R5 unit
Xcept the oddball versions like Silver R2-D2 & Pertwee err-pewter R2-D2 & silver R2-D2 :p
These can be knocked out in about a baker's dozen of 4 packs 2 packs a quarter for about a year and 1/2 o-o

I would like to see new & previously unreleased Astrodroids as pack-ins :awesome:

I think Hasbro meant they had no plans of animated style Droids, doesn't mean they couldn't do them realistic.

Not at all correct, the droid from the ARC-170 BP is not unnamed. It's the R2-C4 R4-C7 - Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki

So, not the same droid... but thanks.

OK. Adam Pawlus needs to update his blog then.

400? Really? Different strokes for different folks I guess. :p

Oh wait.. he did.

I-5YQ was done in the Walwart Droid Factory 2-packs.

I'd like to see a PK Worker droid, a Phase 2 Dark Trooper, CZ-3 with balljoint shoulders, a new Probe Droid, a transforming Droideka (surely that can be done now), a good Buzz Droid, a new EV-9D9, and a new 8D8

Here's some I want:

HK-24
HK-51
Juggernaut war droid
C-21 Highsinger
IG-72
4A-7
8D8
EV-9D9
GE3 series protocol droid
BX series droid commando
T-series tactical droid

Where's the love for CW Commando droids? I think they have a unique cool design and are not portrayed as moronic battle droids. The choices other members here have been stellar. I'm just surprised there is no interest in them.

I have a few more Droid ideas:

P2 Astrodroid 2.3 m or apporx 7 1/2' tall
250px-P2_EGD.jpg

PG-5 Gunnery Droid 2.5 or approx 8 1/6' tall
250px-PG-5_gunnery_droid.jpg

(Both Slightly Larger than R1-G4)

PLNK-Series Power Droid 1.37 or approx 4 1/2' tall
250px-PlunkDroid-TCWCE.jpg

(slightly larger than EG-6 Power Droid)

TSC014powercomp.jpg

S19 Astromech 1m or approx. 3 1/3' tall
S19-SGtD.jpg

V1 Pilot Droid 1m or approx. 3 1/3' tall
V1_pilot_droid.jpg

V6 Pilot Droid 1m or approx. 3 1/3' tall

(All roughly the same size as R4-M9)

Yeah. I have never seen most of these - some really odd designs. I do kind of like that v6 pilot droid, though. And I wouldn't mind a PLNK series droid, but don't see it working that well as a BAD.

I'd love a realistic Commando droid, it's where we could get the Citadel version with the shield.

I have the same thoughts as I peruse this thread.

Some suggested Droids are just to difficult to achieve in the B.A.D. format such as:
1000px-SithWarDroidMk1-TOR.jpg

Sith War Droid Mk. I

Sith_war_droid_mk_ii.jpg

Sith War Droid Mk. II

Now feasibly the P2 & PG-5 could be done like the Dark Trooper Mk. III in a range of 2-pacs and the PLNK could be 3 to 5 pieces depending how U separate it.

KOTOR T3-M4
KOTOR Battle Droid
KOTOR Protocol Droid
KOTOR HK-47. A more accurate one would be good but a re-release would be fine.
Bollux and Blue Max
Xim War Droid - but PLEASE make sure it's the one from the original Lost Legacy cover, not the lame one from the EU reference books which makes it look like a 1950's wind-up robot.

Hooray Bollux. Just look at this for awesomeness, from the great Chris Trevas:

Huge fan of the old Lost Legacy cover, but I do like this design for Xim's war droid:

Some really cool droids in this thread, but the one I want to see most of all is T3-M4. That would make me a very happy collector.

One figure I DON'T want to see show up as a build a droid is EV-9D9.

That is one droid that deserves to be single carded with decent accessories, and so does 8D8. I really want both droids, but only if they are done very well. Neither has seen a decent update since the POTF.

Bollux and T3-M4 have to happen. There's no excuse anymore. I wouldn't mind a Betty Droid or the red TC droid we saw a couple years ago, either. Other ideas:

GH-7 Medical droid and the Midwife droid from Polis Massa.
Vuffi Raa
AV-6R7
Leebo
Dark Trooper Phase II
Guri
Juggernaut War Droid
PK Worker Droid
Podrace Cam Droid
Cook Droid
Rickshaw Droid
the Window droids from AOTC
MD Droid
SE4 Servant Droid
M-3PO
TDL Nanny Droid
Binary Load Lifter
Red Terror
Unit Zed
8t88
Q9-X2
Gorm the Dissolver

The cook droid could work as a bad, but how do you think they would handle the arms? Six with one figure or make you buy more figures to complete him?

Creases me up every time I read this name! Evidently means something quite different in the UK....:wtf:
Same here.
I'm familiar with the meaning of the word, so it throws me off whenever I see it on the forums because I'm not sure why it's being used.
I'm especially wondering who or why anyone use it as a name for a Droid?

Well the creator of Bollux was Brian Daley an American who probably never knew of the U.K. connotation
And why is it when U put "The Dog's" in front of it, it has a different meaning :wtf:
Conversely "***" "rubber" and "knock-up" have different connotations here in da U.S. but U all know this already
How is American actress Fannie Flagg greeted across da pond  Along with blokes named Lou :\
