Droid Factory - Exclusive Set

Yes, I know, but the VC14 was 'clean' (I have 4 of those guys) and having never managed to find VC112 I was pleased I could create a 'dirty' white pauldron trooper and the orange pauldron trooper that I couldn't find just by using the extra B-A-D black pauldron Sandies I ordered and bits I already had lying around.

And by removing the white pauldron from the clean Sandie I created a Black Collection Stormtrooper by accident!

Not quite-- the belt doesn't have the grenade on the back or the black holster. But, the paint on the helmet is MUCH better than the BS Stormtrooper.

I think I posted before in the BS Stormtrooper thread about this, but WHY didn't Hasbro at the very least paint the torso dots? Make it look that much more like a Stormtrooper.

Good question. Yet they OVERpainted the mouth making it look too thick and far worse than the Sandtrooper. Hasbro's decisions baffle me.

That weapon in the holster is so much better than the previous offerings with this figure!

I have stripped the holster off every TIE pilot I own. They don't have them in the movie. Can't imagine why Hasbro thought they needed them for the figures. How about giving the Rebel Fleet trooper a damn holster instead?

What do you use to strip off the belts?

They just slide off... you have to work them a little bit, and sometimes running them under hot water will help. They come off in one piece, and can be put back on if you chose to do so later on.

Darn that EU!

I did this too ... and solved the RFT problem by giving the TIE holsters to them. They slide right up over the belt and look great.

Selling TIE Pilot, Battle Droid, and Sun Fac as a set for $10 + shipping in the U.S. only. Loose, complete, but no b.a.d. parts. PM me if interested...

Better go stock up on them guys! Amazon has them listed for 53.38 at the moment.

They shouldve kept this line running instead of waste resources with that awful 5 point rubbish Saga line.

I don't know where I was or what I was doing (thanks Yoda :p) but I completely missed the $14.99 & $23.99 sales. I would have picked up a few more sets at those prices.

You had to have fallen off a cliff for those two weeks. We were talking about it daily!

I was blah about the pics of this packaging but having seen it in hand I really wish they would have kept it instead of the black cards they're currently using :(

I thought the same when the packaging design was revealed in 2012. However, now that we have to get along with the utterly boring BS packaging and after having seen the 'what could have been packaging' in hand, I wish we've gotten the Droid Factory packaging.
It seems to be an essential part of human nature that we usually want what we can't have...

This packaging is a lot better than TBS. I would have actually preferred the Lost Line cards for the TBS line. They could have even kept TBS and called it The Blue Series.

The design for droid factory is even more 'eventful' for eurocarded figures too. Thanks to the rediculous amount of 'don't be a *******' safety warnings we have on our figures, the whole black series packaging gets covered in means it's even less appealing than the US versions. The whole back is replaced by warning text stickers, so we don't get the background character image or bio for them, so something like the droid cardbacks are way more appealing, especially since they'd probably just cover the bottom in warnings like with the legacy BAD figures rather than the whole thing like it is now.

I know you were joking but dude, have you seen some of our euro packaging? The same thing is repeated over and over again and again on the packaging. It seriously could be toned down before you get to misinformed lawsuit territory. I bet no one even bothers reading it all anyways. We always tell children not to swallow objects, so we don't need an Sw figure to go nuts about it. Parents are on the prowl throughout.

I still had a few issues with VC, but yeah, BS is worse. Luckily, I'm an opener, but all these stickers annoyed the hell outta my carded mates, and I always enjoy looking at he back of the packaging, reading the info, looking at the cross sell pics etc before tossing aside which has been a problem as of late.

I'm anopener as well, but I do feel for those that have a carded collection. Also, some people skip buying extras of what the stores really don't need, which leads to more pegwarmers.

I caved in and bought a set when it was 14.99, and I must say, I'm impressed with Sun Fac and the clone. Dookus droid is nice as well and the battle droid is really flimsy.

Is the BAD from the CW movie?

Yes. Movie and a couple episodes I believe.

Sold off the unwanted figures from this set, and was able to recoup the cost (and then some). So I basically got the sandtrooper and the two new droids for free.B) Thanks, Amazon!

^Despite its age the old POTF Dewback looks still much better than the newer rendition of this creature. Lucas should've sticked with the old design for Episode I...
