Droid Factory - Exclusive Set

Now up to $19.99.

This is getting both comical and annoying. I hate the musical price game! I'm going to order another set, at the 19.99. Then I'm sure the next price drop will be within 7-10 days, and probably hit 9.99!

Amazon could have already sold out on these things if they would remove the purchase limit. :p

Is this clone the only figure in this set that has its own individual thread for discussion? I was looking for discussion on the battle droid and sandtrooper, and couldn't find anything. ???

I am pretty sure they all do because I remember them being started when we thought this was going to be a retail release wave. Many of them just became lost in obscurity.

TIE Pilot also has his own thread. Given that they are now on a set and not individually offered (as MK says) these threads may need to be closed to keep discussion in one maybe?

Back to $29.99. Come on amazon - keep it at $14.99, take off the purchase limit and these things will sell out in no time!!!

Update on my issue:

Amazon credited my card with $45. First they wanted me to ship it back to them and I would get my $60 back and then I would order it for $15. Then I emailed them and said I already opened up the box, which I did, but only the white mailer box. I didn't open the figures. I told them it might be difficult to resell the toy if it was already opened.

I am happy. Never again will I order from them at full price. What a mess.

I think Amazon wants to keep them available thru Christmas. Hence, the purchase limit. I doubt they will last much longer than the holiday season.

Probably more so that everyone can have a chance at getting a set, otherwise scalpers etc would be buying them in truckloads

Couldn't resist as well when it was still $14.99 and purchased one. I've never gotten so many figures at once at a cheaper price (even including the shipping costs).

I was amazed at how small it was all packed up - for some reason, I expected a long thing like this with all of the carded figures collected together and front facing:

Rebelscum.com; Star Wars Toy News Archive

But I dig the compression.

Yeah me too. The box from Amazon was a good size. I opened it up and a tiny white box was in there with a bunch of air bags. BUt they were all in there. Nice and neat.

debating in my head if i should open the second set of Droid Factory figures or leave it sealed in the original white mailer box and see if the set ever sells for an insane price or becomes super rare to find a set that is in mint condition.

sadly the first set i already lost the backpack for the battledroid. :(

Individual figures have been selling anywhere from 4.95 up to 12.00 on ebay. Both loose and carded. Just search Amazon Legacy in completed listings. Prices are all over the place for full sets too.

What the HELL is going on with Amazon?? For real! The set is up to 34.64. And this increased in less than 10 minutes from my last check! o-o :wtf:

Received my DF set today - cant believe how small the box is, haha. At $14.99 its a great deal, and with my Amazon rewards, I paid like 10 bucks for it. I think the drastic price drops really set a precedent for future exclusives. From now on, if they pack 1 new figure with 6 repaints, I am going to wait until clearance. I paid less for the whole set, than I would have had to pay for FA-4 on ebay...

Got my set a couple days ago. Ended up liking the protocol droid much more than I thought I would. Had to tweak his eyes a bit, but other than that he looks great. The other droid is pretty neat too, even if it is somewhat useless. Other then the sandie, I'll be unloading the rest fore cheap after xmas.

If anyone builds up some loose Sandies, I could use an extra BAD head. I kinda want to keep the Sandie MOC as an example of the cardback. I don't keep hardly anything MOC anymore, but with this one and the "Lost Line" Sandie, I think it's cool because both designs had such limited use. Thanks in advance if anyone comes through!

Grabbed this set a fourth time and still really happy with it. Now I have a carded set, plus three red battle droids, three Utapau clones, etc. And I like having extra versions of FA-4. I've got two sorta milling around int he background of a Coruscant display, one holding some luggage (from a Star Tours set) and I've got the third with some old BAD legs (the ones that were re-purposed from 8D8) as a kind of makeshift bi-pedal FA-4. It needs to be painted to make the look more uniform, but overall I'm happy with it.

Just got my set that I purchased for $14.99. Took only ten days to get here! It was very well packaged and I was quite surprised how small the box actually is. Although I'm an opener, I can't bring myself to open up these lovely cards right now...

My 4th (and final) set arrived. Using the existing VC Sandtrooper and a figure from a comic pack I now have one orange pauldron Sandie, one white pauldron Sandie and two black pauldron Sandies.

Hasbro released the white pauldron early in TVC line, then the orange as VC93. So all three have the same sculpt and body.

My number is off.... it was VC 14 for the first, VC 112 for the second.

I think Hasbro perfected the Sandtrooper - at this point, they should be done releasing him. We probably have more modern Sandtroopers as figures than those that actually appeared in the movie. As for the Geonosians, TIE pilots, and Battle Droids - these are all figures / characters I'd like to see retired after this set as well.

I got my set yesterday. I was quite surprised that they have finally given the Tie Pilot a gun like the 1982 vintage figure had. That turned out to be the "Easter egg" of this set. :)

I don't even know why they released that tired old TIE Pilot sculpt, could have at least fixed the leaning issue.

Yes, I know, but the VC14 was 'clean' (I have 4 of those guys) and having never managed to find VC112 I was pleased I could create a 'dirty' white pauldron trooper and the orange pauldron trooper that I couldn't find just by using the extra B-A-D black pauldron Sandies I ordered and bits I already had lying around.

And by removing the white pauldron from the clean Sandie I created a Black Collection Stormtrooper by accident!
