Does anyone know when the advent calendar that makes 5 droids will be released? Here in the U.K advent calendars hit the stores in early September. Is it different in the U.S?

I would say right at the very end of October, beginning of November they will start showing up. At the latest mid November so that they sell through before Christmas.

Disney usually puts out their holiday merchandise in Early November. It is still Halloween time as far as Disney is concerned.
I was at Walmart last night & they had the full Halloween section AND Christmas decoration section.

When was this announced? I don't remember mention of this, or any pics.
Believe it was revealed during the most recent SW Celebration. No pics of the included droid parts were shown. Just some festive artwork on the box, which included depictions of several of the previously released xmas droids. IIRC, the only potentially new droid in the artwork was a white gonk droid.

Really hope the white gonk isn't the only new droid in the set. If it is, I'll just try to grab it loose on ebay or something. Don't need a third re-release of the R3, and wasn't really a fan of the mustard yellow reindeer R5.

Thanks guys. I probably saw this but have forgotten about it.

I missed out on last year's holiday 4 pack and R5-D33R, so it looks like I'll be picking up this set.

Maybe we'll get a Jawa, since they're featured so prominently, and a mouse droid.

Yeah, I was thinking they might include a jawa or two as well. The art shows one wearing a santa hat twice, so I think that's a safe bet. They do have their own jawa figure which came with their Sandcrawler, but I don't know if it's a decent figure or not.

I hope it doesn’t have any Jawas because the Disney Jawa is not a good figure. The figure is a lump of hard plastic & very much like a Happy Meal toy. Like @RogueStar said it does have ball joint shoulders but no elbows, & no head articulation.

I have it sitting on a shelf that is prone to getting bumped, because the one thing good about the figure is it won’t fall over.

Basically, that disney jawa is a hasbro jawa from the 3.75 tbs 2pk dumbed down. Look at it overall shape, folds in robes etc. Matches Hadbros just w/o all the articulation and somewhat hollowed out as I recall

So any word on the droids included? Was there solid confirmation on white GNK? Pics look like jigsaw puzzle pieces that pull out to reveal a droid part. 25 slots = 25 parts can easily be 5 astromechs

The half circles are the "poke & pull" parts, to open up the "doors." I wonder what's behind #25, as it's the largest panel / door. I know the Disney Jawa is kind of crap, but if there was one included here, it could be behind that door.

It's up now on ShopDisney.

A little confused at what I'm looking at...the pictures on the site aren't loading. The announcement back at Celebration was that it would be parts for five droids, and someone upthread thought it was going to cost $45. But this is listed for $70...but the listing says there are 25 droids. Is it 25 days of parts to make the five droids? Or 25 droids but they are smaller than the standard Droid Factory 3.75" figures? Or...?

I don't expect anyone here to know. But I thought I'd jump on this when I saw it went up, but now I'm having second thoughts at the price.

Update as I move this to the right thread: who was I kidding? I ordered it. Worst case scenario, if the calendar doesn't have stuff in it that fits my collection, it'll be passed along to friends with young children who like anything droids.

Mmmmm, I thought this would be an instant purchase for me. Given I can’t even see the pictures on their website, I think I’m going to hold off.

Though I assume it’s 25 parts, overall. Maybe 3 astromechs, the Gonk, and a mouse droid?

^ ditto. I am guessing the droids pictured. Is that a newer GNK, the white object under classic blue GNK?

Pics are up, but none of the droids. Went ahead and ordered anyway. I'm a sucker for a good advent calendar.

Sucks the description is vague on the droids scale and if 5 BaD/25 parts or not. 5 droids and a cardboard case does seem to fit the price. I wanted to order this and the r6 but I can't bring myself to order this blind. And the clone 4 pk, I only want angry faced clone so I passing on that again until they get hoth 4pk maybe.

Ok so how many of us are actually going to use this in the traditional sense? I think it would be fun. Unless it’s 25 little droids and everyone is disappointed. 😉

*cut scene to December 26th when DarthPete begrudgingly posts pics of his 17 Mouse Droids, 4 BB units, 3 Astromechs and a Grogu with a Santa hat on*

These are the dimensions of the box.
  • Box: approx. 18 1/2'' H x 10 3/5'' W x 3'' D
It is a pretty long box, so it's possible that there are 25 droids in there and not all mini.

Who's gonna wait to find out or who's gonna just open it up?

Since droids are priced at $15 each, there’s no way there’s 25 in there for $70.

I think it’s more likely that each day is a droid part. 5 parts per droid (dome, torso + foot, left leg, right leg, and accessory). With 25 days, probably 5 droids.

I’m hoping it’s not repacks of the past Christmas droids as implied by the artwork. It might be, since they re-released all the Halloween ones in a set.

I’ll open it. I’d be happy to let everyone know what’s inside to make it easier (unless someone else gets theirs before me). Hopefully it’s not sold out by then.

I'm kinda leaning this way too. 25 parts for 5 droud but the drouds on artwork

But they also re-released all the Christmas droids in a set last year too.

Are the 5 droids on the package an indication? Shall I guess?
Two astromechs, split on 7 doors: dome, body, left leg, right leg, middle leg, Disney hat/top arm, scarf: 14 doors
Two gonks, split on 5 doors: upper body, lower body, inner stuff, left leg, right leg: 10 doors
One mouse droid.

I like that there is some surprise in this. The Lego calenders tell you up front what you're getting, which kind of takes some of the charm away from these things.

I'm seeing some on social media speculating that it could be these mini droids, which Disney released as blind-boxed sets a few years ago. I suppose that's possible, but the only thing is that those sets were not released under the 'Droid Factory' banner, which this thing is. The mystery deepens.

I was search all over for these for last half hour or so looking for pics/names/info on these mini droid and poof, EmperorPalps posted that very same thing. What did these retail for?

here's another pic i finally found:

Even though these were not branded as droid factory, Disney can still repurpose them into a new brand. They did it w/ the GalaxyEdge droids: 4-LOM, CB-23, evac R5 droid, astromech for the GE5pk

I'm pretty sure they were $9.99 each.
