This is the Rapunzel tower that I am working on for my dauther 3rd birthday. Its definately not Star Wars but I figure there might be some Disney fans that might enjoy seeing it. After doing all the stuff for her birthday party in October I will have some time to finish my rookies diorama. I also got some good ideas while working on this that I can translate into my star wars dios. I also got to sculpt for the first time with a chain saw. It was a blast and I still have all of my fingers. Let me know what you think. I will post more pictures later today or tomorrow.

My daughter would freak out over this. She watches Tangled about 5 times a week. She would get along well with your daughter.

Great work.

looking forward to seeing the finished piece and showing my daughter

That is awesome.

Did you carve the tower from a chunk of wood?
How tall is it?

Wow! That is outstanding! And I'm sure you'll be able to find a neat Star Wars application for it, later!

That is amazing! Beautiful work. I was pleased and surprised to find out that the Tangled ever After short is included on the Cinderella Blu Ray that came out yesterday. I loved Tangled.

Well it is finally finished. Thanks for all the feedback. The base of the tower is wood with a plastic pvc pipe attached. I then took the blue foam insulation sheets and cut out a bunch of circle out and stacked them. I then took a chain saw and shaped it. I took a styrocutter and sculpted the rocks. I covered everything with plaster bandages and then another coat of plaster. The top of the tower is all foam board covered in plaster bandages and an additional coat of plaster. The shingles are made of foamies. I'm very excited to now move on to my star wars projects.

Absolutely amazing- the stonework is phenomenal! No matter what the particular license, I'm always thrilled to see your stuff, JediJJep!

Thanks so much for all the kind words and encouragement guys. It has been a really tough time. My brother commited suicide a week or so before my daughters birthday. It has been nice to have something creative to focus on.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and your family.
