Dewback with new Sandtrooper

I'm 90% sure I will buy this unless Hasbro just totally drops the ball when it comes to quality control. I actually didn't think that the Han and Tauntaun set was as bad as everyone was making it out to be, I just had no room for it. However, I will make room for a Sandtrooper and Dewback.
Hopefully, Hasbro has learned a thing or two about Stormtrooper armor after making the Rogue One Stormtrooper and this will be a completely new sculpt.

I thought after Thrawn and Tarkin I would be done with the Black Series, but dang a new Sandtrooper and a dewback! Dewbacks are my favorite creature from star wars, gotta get one.

I'll get a couple of these. Too bad the Tauntaun wasn't done as nice as this.
When the dewback was revealed, I was shocked by the oohing and aahing from the audience. Are people really digging it that much? I mean that as no offense, it's just that the legs look absurd - I can't get over how oversized they are! They almost seem Playskool proportioned. I hope they slim them before the final release, but I am not getting my hopes up.

What all is new about the Sandtrooper? The prod, yes, but all I can tell is a dirty/damaged orange pauldron in the pannel pictures. The dio seems to havena black pauldron riding it with the new one in the back left corner.

I wonder why they chose an orange pauldron? It should be a white pauldron with the seams on it.
I think it looks amazing, the leg articulation is perfect and should allow for a greater leg movement.
This is awesome i will buy a couple of them for sure .
Hope these don't shelf warm like the POTJ 12" set back in the day. Of course, for a 12" version where the Dewback's mouth doesn't open was pretty lame.

Nah, I think these will sell because the 6" fan base is practically built in at this point.
I don't think there is anything new other than the staff. It was probably just the rep getting his words twisted. He seemed to sort of stumble a bit. I did hear them say no new deco on the pauldron.

Of course, I just got my original sandtrooper off eBay.

Good question, I just looked at the convention photos again, and the trooper on the dewback has a black pauldron.
The Sandtrooper included with the Dewback most closely resembles the 2nd iteration of the Sandtrooper from the blue packaging phase. But this new version includes the pike. IIRC, this is the 4th Sandtrooper in the 6" figure line.
That would be perfect, as I currently own two white and one orange.

They customized figures for the dio, I do not consider those to reflect the actual product.
