Does anyone else really love this figure? It took me about a day to get used to the smallness of it, but has quickly become one of my favorite Star Wars figures ever. I love the way the real hair & cloth "skirt" came out. I usually like soft plastic on figures a LOT better, but the cloth really works well with this new Leia. Also, the detail, sculpting, and pose are excellent, IMO.
She looks much better than the 1st slave Leia to me, which was less feminine & had a skirt that was much too dark.

Does anyone else think that the deluxe Leia is really cool?

Yup...it is hands down one of the best SW figures ever produced. Makes the POTF2 version look like the 1st Leia from the original POTF2 line and i'm not monkeying around.

Sooo much detail...DAMN!!! Real hair braid, detailed chain links, cloth skirt, no monkey face and missing that 'Buff' POTF look...c'mon...give Deluxe Leia her props!!

It's sitting right here in front of my desk and I keep picking it up once every 15 minutes to change the pose!

I'm not too crazy about the deluxe Slave Leia myself. I like the 1997 version alot more. I see the new version as nothing more than a pointless resculpt.

Plus her hips look weird to me. Every time I see her on the pegs, the "hip problem" if you will sticks out like a sore thumb to me. It's like Leia's upper torso is extending over the top of her legs. Looks odd to me at least.

I love that leia one of the best I have seen for a long long time!! I think the second wave of deluxe is the better wave( just because of the darth maul in the first wave)

I can't wait to get her!!

i've never liked the soft goods look either, until POTJ. this line got it right. boba 300's cape is cool, and lando's is just outstanding. right texture, right drape, right "weight". i've only found one leia so far, and while the skirt was glued on crooked, the cloth looked good!

Deluxe Leia is a nice figure, but I really liked the 1st one too. Like Phoenix the hip joints look too weird to me. Kind of detracts from the figure. IMO Deluxe Leia is about middle of the road for the 2001 line which is saying a lot since many of the 2001 POTJ figures were great, like Lando and FX-7.

Well she's definitely the best Leia to date, and it is leaps and bounds above the POTF2 version. This one is properly scaled, has a great sculpt (especially the face), a great silk "skirt" and awesome braided hair. To top it off she comes with an amazingly accurate Sail Barge cannon. If this figure doesn't please a collector, then that collector will never be satisfied with the quality of Star Wars figures.

Now now...I'm satisfied with the quality of SW figures for the most part and Leia didn't please me(no not that way you perv :p).

The Sail Barge cannon is cool though. It's just the figure that bugs me. If I HAD to choose between her and Amanaman, I'd take Amanaman in a heartbeat.

Thanks Phoenix, that's what I was trying to say about this figure, and couldn't figure out how...the hips look wierd, I like the scale and all, but the hip thing does bug me...but you're right, the cannon does rock, so it's worth getting

I think it is a nice sculpt. Im not to happy with the skirt being off a bit on all of them.

I like it alot. I plan on getting an extra to make a Diva Shaliqua from TPM (blue haired slave girl next to Jabba at the pod race). I'm very pleased with this figure, because it has a more feminine body structure than the POTF2 one, and the scale is accurate. I may use my POTF2 slave Leia to make that other dancer from Jabba's palace...the one with the blue and silver streaked hair.

PC, I think that this figure is top of the line. But Amanaman is pretty sweet too. I might be in the minority here, but I like the Leia better. Not only is Amanaman's staff droopy, but the Leia is a more essential character for dioramas. Yeah, I know that this is the first issue of Amanaman and a resculpt of Leia, but I still think she's a better all-around Deluxe figure; I've got two of these now and will get a third when I get the chance (custom fodder and for the cannon to make a Sail Barge someday).

These are a great buy at $9.97 at Walmart, but a ripoff at Target for $14.99. Why such a price difference?

I really like liea and even ditched my old one once i got the new one but the hips do bug me. I still really like the figure allot. I hate cloth crap but this worked out well. Much better than that peice of crap on Lando's back. And the braid looks great too, if anything should be soft goods i'll bethe first to agree it should be braids. Especially jedi braids.

I LOVE the chain. Wow thats amazing, even Todd hasn't figured out thow to do chains that good. The force pike is cool and the cannon is okay but i would have rather not had it and payed less for the figure. One thjing though is that her likness was 110% better before the final product but it still looks good.

Amanaman is the better of the two IMO, and i still thought he ws a silly character to make. But his figure is wonderfull.

Finally found the Leia the other night, and I have to say I love the sculpt. I couldn't believe how tiny she was! Stand her next to, like, Barada or Weequay and you'll see what I mean! I'm also surprised how many people liked the original Leia sculpt from '96-97. I didn't like that hulking sculpt from the beginning...

Yeah, I agree that the POTF2 version of Slave Leia is a little mannish. I sure hope that isn't why some collectors prefer that one!

Hey LBS, if you don't want that cannon that came with Leia I'd glady swap you a figure for it! Drop me a line sometime if you want to trade~ pike1067@hotmail.com

A *bump* from the dark recesses of the archives.

DUN-DUN-DUN

I finally found this bad boy at a TRU in Richmond, Va.

Superb, POTJ scale, real hair pony tail, and the chain is metal. The cannon is the schiznit.

woO!

Now I have all the POTJ Deluxe figures.

Yeah, Slave Leia's pretty awesome and in my opinion better then the POTF2 version. Love the cannon... When I'm bored I'll press the trigger button repeatedly and watch the 2 sticks fall to the ground...

yes, this figures is awesome. but at the time i was willing to bet

money on it that since she came with that cannon that there was bound to be a sail barge to follow it.

Found some of these awhile back, but decided to get Amanaman instead when they were on sale at TRU for $5. I wish I could find her again.

Yes, still a nice figure with a surprisingly good likeness for the era. I love mixing figures with different levels of articulation together for display!
