Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced

Are you in the USA? Where are you seeing all of these non-refundable deposits on pre-orders????

Was living there again up until about a year ago, but at the moment, no. And between Mum's health, the socio-political climate, and another half-dozen factors, I don't know if I'll even be able to go back.

Usually, the non-refundable deposits I've seen over the years were on REALLY BIG things, like the Khetanna, Snake Mountain, Cat's Lair, but they've almost always been on big polystone statues before toy companies started to go really big, the last few years . . . but usually any massive, heavy thing over $500 gets a "non-refundable deposit" slapped on it.

Which is why I said "Admittedly, that's probably the lowest price I've seen a non-refundable deposit for."

yes some of us do live in the USA and there is a weird non refundable deposit that does show right undernreath the blue box of Pre Order est arrive in January 2026.

that required non refundable deposit just makes the Vader TIE Advanced vehicle more expensive

Okay thanks for posting that, I've just literally never seen that until now (Darth's Fighter), but I have never pre-ordered any statues of any kind or big items except Haslabs.

Yeah, me, neither. Like I said, I almost exclusively saw it attached to big, heavy statues, which I never ordered. Then huge crowd-funded toys like MOTUC Snake Mountain and the HasLabs started having it applied to them. But for a $140 ship? Bizarre.

Looks like this is now available on Amazon too, at least in the US.
hey i saw that too, thats good news, eventually it will get marked down, just noticed it today, no need to put a down payment at BBTS Super Mint CAS grading extra upcharge. fan channel.

The Hells are you talking about? You don't have to choose the graded version, you know. They're pretty darned good at delivering minty-fresh packaging without the extra charge.

Yeah, they tried to charge my card, but -- as always -- they say it was declined. Every single bloody time they try to process an order on my card, it gets declined. I "change my payment method" to the exact same card, and it goes through on the second attempt. Just waiting to hear back on the second attempt . . . .

ADDENDUM: No e-mail saying everything's sorted out, but Pulse UK's ordering system says it's on its way. }SIGH{

Wow! Shipped early this morning arriving this evening. Gonna need to give the mancave a shuffle round to make some room on my vehicle shelf so probably won't unbox until the weekend but be great to finally get it

Sweet! Mine's still stuck at the local delivery centre, hopefully tomorrow it will rock up.

Thank you for reaching out on your Vader's Tie Fighter.
This decal was originally intended to be part of the final product, but due to a logistical issue, it wasn’t included in production.
We understand how disappointing this is for fans who were looking forward to this feature, and we apologize for the oversight.
Our team cares deeply about the quality of our products and the passion of our collectors, and we’re taking steps to help ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Just means, they'll spend more money to edit thier photos for the packages and live stream reveals ( if they do anymore. Lol) in the future instead of sending stickers out to customers either by mail, email or a download from pulse site.

For the record, this was the message I sent to Hasbro Pulse and got back the copy-and-paste reply everyone else got:

"Hello.

I just received my Darth Vader's TIE Advanced yesterday, and noticed that it does not come with an instruction sheet. It also does not come with the targeting screen sticker for the control yoke. I am given to understand this is a common problem with this item.

Will you be sending out instruction sheets and targeting screen stickers to those who ordered the Darth Vader's TIE Advanced? Kindly let me know. Considering that this item without any electronics or action features costs more than the gigantic electronic action-packed AT-TE from 2008, one would think it's the least Hasbro could do.

Yours sincerely,
[Beedo]"

I thought I had posted the graphic I made for the targeting display. Here is the full res image that only needs to be scaled down to size to print….

While the red indicator lights look a bit unrealistic at full scale they look fine when printed small. As seen in my previous post here is the end result…

Not sure if posting this here is against the rules….
If enough people are interested I guess I could print a whole sheet of them & cut the sheet down to pieces with 2 prints (a backup just in case the first gets damaged trying to apply it). For a dollar plus postage I will send the print. It would only require cutting them out (very easy). If interested say so in this thread. If there is enough interest I will do so & have those interested direct message me.

This isn’t something I want to continually do so it would be a one time thing.

So following up on this there are definitely enough interested to make it worth printing out a sheet. Over the next few days I will compile a list
of everyone who mentioned interest & then begin confirming. Until then….

Finished up giving this the ‘Strobeeone treatment’. As I posted previously, I detailed & weathered the entire vehicle. I also added lights for the engines & interior.

That is a wrap on this vehicle.

Thank 'e! I sent you a PM, too, which is pertinent.

I mean you can't beat $5 for a 2024's Vader!
I'd have probably just used an old one from the one of many I've amassed over the years with old school articulation because it's free, from a certain point of view.

Just put the new Vader TIE on my bookcase.

I hope and pray Hasbro redo the regular TIE Fighter now as this new screen accurate improved larger cockpit is stunning, and the larger sized cockpit would make the wings of the current nearly 20 year old sculpt and re-released TIE Fighter the proper size too.

Is that an original Mattel 1976 Space 1999 Eagle One under Vader's TIE?

It still looks nice.
It's quite old, I bought it in 2005 from Forbidden Planet in the U.K. for £299, and now it is worth triple that on eBay.

The Gerry Anderson store now has a remake and updated version of the Mattel 1976 Eagle, where it looks more screen accurate with a new paint job and re-tooled parts. I pre-ordered it when they announced it. There are two versions, the Alpha version comes with a booklet, digital updates of the making of the classic Eagle and a certificate of authenticity, the 1976 version doesn't come with a certificate, booklet and digital update. As the Alpha version was sold out, I ended up pre-ordering the standard 1976 version instead.

One of the most entertaining toys of it’s day. The different configurations made it worth bringing into Star Wars scenarios.
