Yeah, I love it and it’s different enough for me to warrant buying it. Helps that I LOVED him resurfacing on the big screen in Solo.

Agreed. All arguments about its necessity aside, the bust does look very nice. I'll pick one up in time.

The bust somehow looks better in the official picture, has me thinking about pulling the trigger now.

I'll pass, definitely. Too much of other stuff to be made, and here we are wasting resources with another Maul. I'll stick to the original Maul. No spider legs, no bulky configuration, no weird looking lightsaber. I guess I'm a Lucas follower, and not into the EU that is now considered cannon.

Pricing on this one is odd. $99.99 direct, but EE has it listed for $109.99 and BBTS for $104.99. By comparison, the Range Trooper (also $99.99 direct) is $84.99 from both EE and BBTS.

This year was the anniversary of The Phantom Menace. Did you see anything for that film released with so many characters to be made other than Maul? Let's be realistic. It is not what we want. It is what they want and the four cats that follows them praising everything they do.

I'm trying to order but it won't let me use my $10 in rewards and the Plat-15 off coupon. It doesn't seem reasonable that I wouldn't be able to use both of those together since Rewards should just be part of your payment.

Is there a trick I'm missing or is this just not possible?

No, which is sad as well. Even with the anniversary of TPM we've gotten very little TPM Maul. Clone Wars Maul sucks in my opinion.

Your statement might make sense, if it wasn't for the fact that not only did the order to resurrect Maul come directly from George Lucas himself, but he was intricate in creating 'The Clone Wars' show, bulky spider legs & all. So, in that context, reality, your statement makes no sense.

"According to the report the order to resurrect the Sith Lord came from George Lucas himself"

"Yes, I'm the overall supervising director of the series, [but] George Lucas drives this whole thing. The story ideas, everything we do, it either originates with George or it goes through him for sure"

Let's be realistic. It is not what we want.
Let's be really realistic, it's not what you want...which is fine, however it's only your opinion, & clearly not shared by everyone.

Let's be really, really, really realistic. It is what you want ... "which is fine, however it's only your opinion, & clearly not shared by everyone." Simply put, the ST and Solo suck. Of course that is also my opinion, which is shared by some and not shared by others. In the end, it is just opinions and like so we are, until socialism takes over, free to express what we think. :)

I like Maul but like most people have not been calling out for more Maul busts/statues, I would prefer new characters so I think it's fair to say it's not what people wanted.
I also hate the ST and the vast majority of the characters, don't mind Solo but it's not brilliant.

I think a point that’s being missed here is GG needs to constantly incorporate the A-list/most popular characters into the mix in order for this line to be profitable and also bring in new collectors. While most of us seasoned collectors here would likely choose an un-produced character over yet another Darth Maul it can’t be that way all the time. The long term viability of this line depends on achieving a balance. If this one ain’t your thing cool, but at least step back and appreciate that this offering is different enough from past Maul’s that fans of the character can add him to their collection without feeling as if they’re buying a duplicate piece and if it’s successful it’ll usher in more of the characters we’ve yet to see produced.

I agree with you. There always has to be a mixture of characters, obscure, main characters, already produced and un-produced, to make the line attractive enough to everyone, from those like many of us that have been collecting for years to new comers into the hobby. The only problem I see is that, when there is so little being produced (as far as mini busts), going over the same characters feels repetitive and to some degree it sparks disapproval as many people see it as a waste of time and resources. If there were more characters produced, more to choose from, I don't think people would have such passionate reactions towards the re-releases of say main characters. Selection and quantity play a roll here in my opinion.
