I'm not really interested in R2, but I'm looking forward to the rest of this wave.

Well it seems like this wave is going to happen and I couldn't be happier.

It's about time we got a new Dagobah Luke and going by the standards of Bespin Luke, Jedi Luke and Hoth Luke this one should be fantastic. I am hoping for a muddy looking Dagobah base which Luke and either just stand on with a pose that looks like he is lifting the X-Wing out of the swamp and also place a peg hole in his hand so he can do the hand stand pose as well. Of course he will need super articulation.

R2-D2 should be a pretty simple figure to do but because we have so many great R2-D2's I wouldn't mind this one to be very scene specific. I just what him to look very mucked up and he can have a removable plastic swamp spray that can be connected onto his dome. Also he could come with a flying swamp creature as a added pack in and a connecting Dagobah base.

Yoda is another figure I have wanted for a age and all I want from him as a great looking sculpt. I hope he will come with a base that connects to the others, a cloth backpack for luke, his walking stick, and a pile of rocks that can be placed on clear rods to look like they are floating.

Obi-Wan, well this is the figure I couldn't care less about in the wave. I don't really care what Hasbro does with it as long as he looks good and is a big step up from the other ones. A bit of a pointless figure in my books.

And how about a removeable fatigue jacket? I know in this scale it's hard to do this convincingly, but look at the Princess Leia Collection two packs... they did the jackets for the Cermonial Luke and Bespin Han included with those pretty well...

That is a great idea! If they could do the jacket right, that is.

If this pans out, this will be one of the best waves ever. I want all these figures.

These all sound good to me. A new R2 would be great as well. I wasn't able to get the one with the X-Wing, and from what I saw of it, it was just sprayed with green and brown. Not much of a job. If they were able to get a nice sculpt and paintjob to a dirty R2, I'm sure they could easily make a better one.

Finally a Dagobah Luke! I have been waiting quite a while for this anouncement. I hope he is as good as the Hoth Luke.

R2 is just an average figure for me.

Yoda is a welcome figure. I have been wanting a new "old" Yoda figure forever.

Ben Kenobi should be interesting. I hope it's not like the Jabba's palace Luke.

I'm hoping for the luke to have the jacket on, but open (like the potj bespin guard)...this would be a completely never before done version of Luke.

I think a handstand Luke would be difficult to do via articulation (meaning an articulated wrist won't work too well)...and I don't think I would be happy with a new Luke that always has his hands bent at 90 degrees and flat palmed (meaning only would look good when doing a handstand).

A new classic Yoda is welcome, as would be a super muddy R2. i would also be happy with a re-painted spirit of Obi-Wan using the sculpt from the jedi spirits three pack (this needs light transparent tones and washes for the paintjob)

If it's impossible to articulate Luke's palm to do a stand, how about including interchangeable palms? 1 for standing and another neutral.

I'm more of a Hoth/Tatooine sorta guy myself. I'll probably get the Yoda, but honestly, I think we need a new ALIVE Ben Kenobi before a ghost version. A good neutral Ben.

Yeah that's true. I can't see Hasbro making a new Ben just for the sake of his spirit. So I think it's either that there will be a new normal Ben figure out soon, or Hasbro is using an old mold to make this spirit Ben.

<font size="2" face="arial">Amen, to that! More Tatooine and Hoth for me here as well, and throw in a little coruscant for flavor.

What they need to do - is start releasing a playset to accompany each themed wave...

Dagobah wave - with Yoda's hut.
Star Destroyer Wave - with a play set of the bridge.

Endor wave - with either ewok village or rebel war room...

etc... etc...

Playsets just might sell if they could be released like that.

You can probably tell my reaction to the news of this wave by simply reading my RS username! This would be a highly welcome wave for me to get.

Playsets are probably the riskiest thing to try right now, since they'd be at least $30-$40 each. The Screen Scene and Ultra collections aren't hot items, so I doubt sales would increase with a more expensive item.

If I were working on this wave:

Luke wouldn't be able to do a handstand unless there were pegs in his hands, so I'm not really for that. If he has wrists, levers at the elbows, ball joints at the shoulders, head, waist, hips, and levers at the knees I'd be happy. With a lightsaber and a bag for Yoda, he be set.

Yoda would be the usual head, ball jointed arms, and waist, with additional levers on his feet so he can cling to the tree base that he'd be included with. Cloth jacket would work because there's not a lot of additional details needed.

Artoo would be a welcome figure if he had removable utility arms. He'd have a ball joint in his body with a peg on it, instead of pegs in his body. He would have a very, very dirty paint job (maybe even some flocked swamp grass) in this wave, and would be released clean within a few months.

Edit: These three have been reported by multiple sources long before RS's recent announcement. Spirit Obi-Wan is not on those lists, and some expect that Hasbro will instead re-release Dagobah Vader with the updated Luke face sculpt, or at least include it as an accesssory for those who already have the figure and don't care for the Commtech face sculpt.

What about Luke with an outstretched arm with a ball jointed hand? That way, he could do the Force levitation AND handstand... and then I MIGHT buy him...

Not the most exciting of waves but a new Luke Dagobah would be welcome, especially if it had nifty accessories. Another R2 would only be attractive if again it came with some funky accessories. Yoda, well, i'm just p****d off that it's taken so many attempts to get it right and I think they probably will get it right this time. As for OWK as a spirit, well, not bothered either way really.

R2-D2 from The Empire Strikes Back - Figure #4
This was the only figure (actually it was only the package) on display. The card back has a picture of the character and figure with this text next to it:
"Two-stage button! Press briefly for robotic character and light. Press and hold button for robotic "scream" and light."

Following the above were pictures of other figures in that wave. There was also the "Jedi Knights Kids Club" logo. This will be a newsletter type mailing list.

Luke Skywalker (Dagobah) from The Empire Strikes Back - Figure #1
This figure is Luke using the force by balancing himself with one hand. It includes a piece of the swamp as a base.

Yoda from The Empire Strikes Back - Figure #2

Obi-Wan Kenobi from The Empire Strikes Back - Figure #3
Obi-Wan has been updated from his clear blue plastic that was available as an exclusive to a new clear figure but with color. It's difficult to explain but it looked pretty good.

<font size="2" face="arial">I donno. The flesh tones in my opinion was a bad idea, but hey, a new Obi-Wan is always welcome, but they shouldreally make a good "living" Obi-Wan first.

I actually like what they did with the Hologram Luke that just came out. As far as hologram figures go that is. So, yeah I want to see what they can do with Spirit Kenobi.

Wow, the entire wave looks pretty cool. I'm really impressed with Holo Obi-Wan. Why didn't Hasbro do as good a job with Holo Jedi Luke?! Dagobah R2 is okay, I guess. I was expecting a much better sculpt with Yoda, such as two functional legs. Dagobah Luke is real cool, but it seems like you can only use him in that one pose doing a handstand. I'll pick him up anyway since we're long overdue a new Dagobah Luke figure.

Interesting to see if Luke is actually permanently stuck in that pose or would Hasbro include some different head sculpt and hands. I'll be getting him anyways, looks cool like that. Will get Yoda as well to go with it. How small is the bagpack? Yoda wouldnt fit inside.

<font size="2" face="arial">I'm wondering that myself. With the ball-jointed neck and pegged shoulders, it would be VERY easy for them to pack in an alternate head and alternate arms that could be used for a alternate Luke where he's right-side-up.

I'd like him to have different Arms though too (to switch out) unless we start calling him "Stop...In the Name of Love" Luke.

A good sculpt and definately worth a resculpt since Buff Luke was the only version we have ever had of this one.

It would be cool if he had ball jointed shoulders and came with an extra set of hands and an extra head, but if he's just like in the photos I won't get it.

Can't say I care much about this wave. I'll grab em if I see em but I'm honestly not excited. I'm actually a little dissapointed with the Yoda. His face looks more like his AOTC digital version that his ESB muppet version. Hopefully he'll look better in person.

Larger Pics

Luke

R2-D2 (seems to be the POTF II Electronic Artoo body, with new legs and no 3° leg)

Yoda (a very small chance it will fit in the Backpack)

Obi-Wan on Dagobah

These figures arent too special IMO.. But I will pick them up, and they will make quite a nice diorama.
