Hoth
Still my favorite thing I’ve ever created. I’m in the process of creating an echo base hangar with a snowspeeder launching with an ion cannon on one side.

I have another part coming in for this, but moving this to a new location gave it much better lighting and depth. I’m happy how this has turned out.

The Battle of Endor
I still want to create more trees and put in a forest backdrop, but I love the action and scale going on here.

Arrival on Bespin
I really want to make this landing platform look more legit. Just have to figure out how to do that.

The Purchase Of The Droids
I really wish I knew how to work with plastic. I love the almost full scale Sandcrawler facade, but it’s still very obviously foamcore.

Thanks! I kinda fell off the past year and didn’t really do anything in that room. Doing this had me cleaning and rearranging the room again. Super rejuvenating

Really love the Endor scenes, what'd you use for the forest floor? The background and the foreground blend pretty seamlessly, that's some great stuff right there!

MAN!:eek::eek::D That's great to see, love the backdrop. Where's the floor grating from? I don't recognize it. Also like the beat up Luke, he's really battered in that scene.

Thanks, man! I can't take credit for finding those grates. I saw them on RC_1136's Outpost dio and KNEW I had to get a few. They're filters for an aquarium that just look perfect with this scale. I've been dying to make this for years. That battered luke has just been hanging around since, like 2007 with nowhere to go. I'm thrilled with how it all turned out!

Amazing Dag, I love your dioramas! You've really captured an action shot in your Endor battle...though I have to say that there is a disproportionate number of POTF casualties :ROFLMAO:

Lol, yknow, I actually went through last night and removed a few figures for that reason. It was looking a little cluttered for my tastes.

Without proper SA they can't hold their guns properly so of course the Imperials will mow down those hippies!

So many pics! Great effort, and not just the dios—your pics took such focus and time! I love the Hoth stuff best!

Your collection is most impressive. My eye can’t help but be drawn to the full lineup of Red Sith Troops on duty in the top right corner of your platform work space. Those guys look GOOD! And anytime I see a yellow X-wing ladder, I feel inspired to set up a dio. Everything you do looks really clean!

Those lights for the Endor landing platform are really great, so many of the dios in Star Wars require a decent amount of space and you've always got some setups where you get to go big. AT-ATs and Imperial shuttles are big vehicles, scenes involving them are even bigger. Love seeing the ambitious/spaciousness of your stuff. BTW I've got some sawdust and am going to try to use it in an Endor scene soon. Did you spraypaint yours brown? Use brown dye? What did you do to turn it into Endor earth?

Thanks man! I've always been a fan of large-scale dioramas. If I had the space, I'd make Hoth an entire room.

The stuff I got was Western Red Cedar. (I had to look that up in my history, because I totally forgot.) It was already reddish brown when it came in, thankfully. Dyeing that would have been a nightmare! Check out ebay, you can usually get like, gallon bags.
