Idea finding.

Bought a used and incomplete ATOC Saga Series 3,75 gunship today by chance on ebay for only 56 Euro(!) including shipping and start thinking about a repainting. Any experiences or ideas? Bright colours or better a dark grey starship?

And I am looking for some spare or 3d printed parts like the front/back canons or self made doors or ball turrets.

Any ideas are welcome.

One aspect that I liked of the gunship is it felt like a helo from Vietnam, one of Lucas' references for inspiration in the original SW notes. So perhaps something gray/green?

I also liked the "field surgery" referred to in the ROTS novel, and always thought it was a modified gunship of some sort, but that could be wrong. So, maybe something closer to a mix of a Bell helo for a MASH unit and Star Wars?

Thank you @BlindJedi, grey green is okay but close to the original colours of the ship.
In the Bad Batch all ships (e.g. clone transport starships and the BB’s starfighter) are always grey and dark grey, metallic. So still thinking of these regular and inconspicuous colours.
And I will check the 3d shop.

Found new inspiration inside of a cool youtube video for building a republic gunship.

Now I am thinking where I could find or how to build additional main doors (as print or from cardboard) so that you have 4 open main doors in the back. And you can conceal the front opened doorways.

Yesterday I have cleaned the used gunship at last. It's the ROTS gunship with the green cockpit.

Also still thinking of the selection of colours and if I can do the painting without a spray can (or airbrush) just with brushes.
