Really excellent work and beautiful details. I would buy and collect both @MasterBEN!
The first one has a very cool and colourful robe with accurate pleats. The second one has such a cool and detailled head/hair design (guess the light curly hair was really concentrated handicraft work).

Please do more Padmes!

These are both mainly based on the black dinner dress Padme from the 30th anniversary collection. I haven’t done any customizing in years, but I was touching up the paint on the dinner dress figure and got the bug again so I bought a couple more and got to work!

I ended up stealing the head from one of the new figures to replace the one on the dinner dress Padme because I couldn’t fix the paint up well on the older figure. So for the lake gown figure I used the head from the old pilot/Coruscant Attack figure. I drilled out the inside of the head to fit the ball joint neck and I really liked how the face turned out with some new paint, especially for a ~20 year old figure. For the legs I just used whatever I had in storage that was the correct scale.

Then for the costumes themselves I mainly used sheer women’s tights to get the right transparency and drape, and it took a lot of trial and error to get the stitching and draping right lol.

I forgot I finished this custom up a few weeks back. It was pretty simple to combine parts from the Arena Padme and the Ilum figure, and then paint both to match with a slightly cleaner white than the ripped costume.
