Custom Commissions Sales and Requests

Has anyone besides Angry Nomad shrunken a bunch of Black Series sculpts down to 3.75?
Dude's store is likely permanently closed and he is the only person I've seen with Sabine, Kanan and Ahsoka heads and gear cast.
I desperately need that unmasked Sabine head for my custom.

I think this guy will shrink them for you though not sure of the price http://glassmancustoms.com/?s=1/18

When I started customizing I didn’t realize this thread existed. And now that I had a fellow scummer approach me about commissioning some customs for them, which I did and they were very pleased, I thought to offer my services to others.

My specialty/focus is on cantina aliens and Jabbas palace/barge/skiff guards. I got tired of waiting on Hasbro to fill in my dioramas so I took matters into my own hands. Literally! I've done about 30 Jabba’s palace/barge/skiff aliens and about 20 cantina patrons.

Here’s a link to my thread where you can see all my customs: https://forum.rebelscum.com/threads/darkknight’s-customs.1144764/

And here’s what my dioramas look like filled in:

Hi everyone.

My first post here, but delighted to have found this section of the forum.

I'd love to add a custom ROTJ Y-wing pilot to my collection - one that looks and feels like it could have come off the Kenner production line in 1983/4. I've seen a couple of beauties online and I've duplicated these images below - the first is from Pintrest - I can't find a link to the maker to give credit (though they may well be a member here - be great to find out who), the second is from a creator called "Iron-Cow Productions":

The recipe in both cases seems to be AT-ST driver arms, an X-wing or B-wing pilot torso and legs, a trimmed head and a trimmed helmet from a modern era pilot.

I could track down these parts and I could physically assemble the model, but unfortunately due to a medical condition, my hands shake and I wouldn't be able to paint the figure to the standard I would like (factory-standard) to fit into my Y-wing display. Equally, I wouldn't be able to fill the transition between the helmet and the pilot's face (most evident in the first image above) that makes the figure's head seem to have been cast in one piece in keeping with the 1970s/80s mouldings.

So I was wondering if anyone made such a model commercially or could do so to order? I'm new to this part of collecting and have found Iron Cow productions and the Vintage Studio Store but neither seem to have such a figure for sale. I've been scouring Etsy too with no joy. The ideal is of course an injection moulded figure, but I don't think anyone has made the tooling for this - so I expect I'd be looking for a customiser that could adapt factory Kenner parts - I think I'd like it to be quite hardwearing in case the kids found it.

Any pointers/links or conversations with forum-members who could do this would be massively welcome. I'm based in the UK.

Thank you very much.

I have 2 Black Series heads that need to be painted, can anyone tackle them? I have a Dash Rendar and old Wedge Antilles head. I just need the face/eyes/mouth painted, and I can take care of the hair if anything.

Hello together,

I would like to use a different actor's head to create new human characters.

Do you have a good and recommended source for 3d printed (and painted) 3.75 heads with affordable prices?

In this case I was looking for a 1/18 scale Rebecca Ferguson head and only found a 35 Euro one on ebay from a Chinese seller.
This is too much in my view and a bit too risky for me.

Example on ebay

Is there anyone out there who might be willing to hollow out the heads from a few POTF2 figures to fit ball jointed bodies for TLC and TVC figures that I already have? My previous experiment in this area didn't go great, may try again but thought I'd check if anyone else might find this simple enough.

Have you tried a dremel with the little tiny ball looking drill bit (I can post a picture if you want)? That’s a good tool for hollowing out a head and you can do a little at a time to get the right fit.

Sent you a PM.

Would definitely appreciate an image or a guide. :)

Here’s the dremel attachment I was talking about. I’m sorry but I don’t know the exact name of it. But it’s useful for more precision shaving off of things so like if you were drilling inside of a head to make more room for a bigger neck post (or alternatively you could use it to shave a little off the neck post until it fits inside the head) you could use this to shave out a little bit at a time and keep checking the fit until you get it how you want it.

I’m currently making some custom LEGO figures to go with the skiffs so I just grabbed lando’s head to demonstrate, but you get the idea, lol!

Hopefully this helps a little.

Okay, I have another suggestion for your question! I was dealing with the same thing you were talking about tonight: trying to get a head with a smaller opening onto a larger ball joint. The dumb thing is it was two Indiana jones figures from the adventure series so of course they wouldn’t both have the same size ball joints. What I ended up using was a sanding tool and I just kept going around the ball joint until I was finally able to get it to fit.

Here’s the attachment I used:
