This is one of the top 3 mini busts I was waiting for! So happy to see it ! For the other hand, hope that what we saw, will be improbed, the face sculpt needs a lot of work!

Yes, that face sculpt certainly does need a lot of work. If the final product looks like that I will pass and stick with my armless one which has an amazing Chris Lee likeness.

Totally excited about this announcement. Although I hope they work a little more on the face sculpt.

No way! I’ve literally been spamming GG’s social media posts for years asking for this to be made. However....I have to be honest, I don’t love the pose & the face honestly looks pretty terrible. The original arm-less bust likeness is infinitely better.

I hate to say it, but I’m kinda disappointed

Not a lot of space on my shelves so I'll have to stick with my armless Dooku bust. Looks nice though!

I have to agree with what many of you have already said in that the face sculpt is horrible and definitely needs a lot of work! I don’t mind the pose that much, but having one arm behind his back covered up with his cape kind of defeats the purpose of getting a Dooku with arms, IMO.

If they improve the face sculpt I will more than likely get this one!

It's like they took the original one and just had him stick out one arm holding his lightsaber. He's not an overly dynamic character so I guess there's only so much they could do. I guess I'll finally have a Dooku bust.

This is one that should have been offered years ago, and I'm glad is getting made. While I do not display PT characters at this time because of lack of space, I have collected every single PT mini bust they've made, thus I'm welcoming this one. That said, the likeness is way off. The eyes are too wide open and his face is quite round. The likeness on the arm-less bust from way back was great. So, as others said above, if the final product looks like in that picture, I'll pass. I'm leaning to say though, chances are they'll improve the face sculpt, and this is just a rushed up image we are seeing for the moment.

Like others have said the pose excellent but the face scuplt needs some work. Hopefully they make some changes but still a nice bust overall.

Agreed with most of the opinions here... the pose is cool, the sculpt is good, the face isn’t there yet. I’m assuming the lightsaber will actually be red when it’s all said and done.

What, you don’t like the pink saber?! I think it goes along well with that doofusey look on his face!

The look and the saber to me are indicative of a $2 toy and not a $120 mini bust!

I believe it was just an image or drawing in early stages, I think they’ll get it right, still a long time between now and when it gets released.

I was hoping for a new Dooku bust. This is very dissappointing. The face is not good at all like most of you have commented. I do like the pose, but otherwise I will pass if this is the final product .

Could use a little improvement on the face sculpt , but not horrible.

Ooof! They don’t fix that portrait I’ll be sticking with my original.

Agreed!

Dooku was actually the first mini bust I bought and sent me down the rabbit hole. This new one, if unchanged, might drive me out!

If it stays this way I'll do either one of two things:become Dr. Frankestein, cut off his head and glue to his neck the one from the older mini bust version, or just buy it for target practice when I go to the shooting range.LOL

The pose has an elegance that befits Count Dooku but as everyone has said, the face sculpt needs work.

I was already perfectly happy with the first version, which has a spot-on Christopher Lee likeness. Even more-so after seeing this one.

Congrats to those who’ve been wanting a Dooku bust, but I hope they fix that face for your sakes.

As much as Count Dooku is deserving of a mini bust with arms, and as much as I've been wanting to have it in my collection, this is an awful likeness of Christopher Lee in my opinion. Also, the bend of his left arm at the elbow behind his back looks a bit extreme and the hand is over painted. His first version, which I proudly own, is fantastic. This new version now is looking pretty close to a caricature. Unless his face gets improved, I'll be passing on it. GG can do much, much better. We are buying a high end collectible, not a toy.

I truly don't understand why they aren't using the old face on this one. It would be far better than this. Especially as it has the exact same neutral expression.

Hard to tell. I guess it all depends on who's assigned to work on the sculp, how much into Star Wars and the character the sculptor is, his/her sculpting skills and what reference images are used. Not even sure if the scanned files for the first Dooku were saved since the company has been through a couple of different owners since then. But most of all, there should always be some sort of supervision making sure the development of a sculpt is up to what collectors expect it to be, and correct it if it fails to be true to the look of the actor as much as possible. Even more when there's a previous sculpt to compare sporting a great likeness.
