did a quick setup this morning using the Revell Snap Tite Imperial Shuttle model kit and some of the Micro Machines figures, and the background is the space station walls 3.75" scale from Galactic Trading Post.
"Emperor Palpatine's Arrival"
I definitely need to get more Stormtroopers, Imperial Officers and Royal Guards
Well I almost fit everything in. It’s been 10+ years since I wanted all my Action Fleets together. Tonight I finally accomplished that. My original trilogy Action Fleet collection is complete, and here it is! The bottom part is actually wood so I might just hammer a few nails in to hang the battlepacks. The 3 playsets are somewhere in this house.
So that glass display case I got last December? Yeah that was a mistake. I'm looking to get rid of it now. In the meantime I've bought some bookcases from IKEA and have done a new setup. I'm still messing around with the titaniums, not sure if they will fit on the small ledge. If not I'm going to place them in between their Action Fleet counterparts. The X-wing next to the E-wing is where my Blue Leader X-wing custom will go eventually.
I don't collect Micro Machines but I do come in this thread once in a while to look at the pics. When I was a kid I loved the Micro Machines and always drooled over them in store. I owned very few and over time they disappeared. It's very nostalgic to come in here and see all your collections.
So I didn't want to make a thread for this very quick custom I did, which is why I'm posting here. I made a proper Dak Ralter figure for the Snowspeeder. I used the Snowspeeder from Hasbro, as it came with no figures so I was "free" to do whatever I needed. I didn't want to touch the other Snowspeeders that came with figures.
The figure was a standard gunner - the one with the gray markings on the helmet. I simply repainted the helmet white, then added in the blue markings with a thin paintbrush. The paint looked like it was about to run so I dabbed it with a tissue, and perfect! It always annoyed me we never got a proper Dak figure.
