The previously rumored figure by Yakface, has now been confirmed by JediInsider to be ARC Trooper Jesse and is part of the second 2022 wave.

This wave is also rumored to include pipeline figures Figrin D'an & Princess Leia (Ewok Village), in addition to Ki-Adi Mundi and Aayla Secura.

Reusing the Echo mould is easy money for Hasbro. Make a phase II helmet (preferably a removable one), bald clone head, shift the ammo pack to the right and he's good to go.

Best of all - main line release!

Hopefully. I know they gave Jesse the wrong helmet for the Vintage Collection version. (Although why Jessie didn't huse a rangefinder always sorta bothered me...)

Right. But if they cheap out and use Echo's helmet I'm going to mod it, shouldn't be too difficult.

While I do hope they update the mold properly, part of me honestly wouldn't mind if they re-use Echo's helmet (as again, I feel like he should have had a rangefinder like nearly all ARC Troopers do)... but they really SHOULD use the Phase II helmet for proper accuracy.

Or best of both worlds give Jessie his Phase II ARC helmet AND a removable rangefinder.

Whatever happens, I can't wait! I love me some ARCs!
 
I don't normally like to bring up old threads, but has there been any word on this figure? I remember it being shown as a pipeline release but it's been forever...

I think you asked that question before in the GD thread(?). You may be remembering the TVC pipeline. I see he's on Yakface's list as being in the pipeline, but I don't remember when that could've been. As far as I can recall he's only ever been a rumor. If he had been officially pipelined it surely would've been posted in this thread I would think.

Clone Commander Jesse. Code-named "Albany". This will be #12 in The Clone Wars sub-line per Eric.

Also I know the rangefinder isn't accurate but I was still hoping that they included it anyway

We'll have to agree to disagree on this since I personally don't mind and there are PLENTY of figures that have come out with FAR more glaring problems.

Nearly every figure I've bought the past six months has required major fixing.

Being able to "fix" a figure by popping off an antenna (which I actually prefer) and using a hobby knife to make a small cut is pretty minor in comparison.

But hey, if you want to keep downvoting me for having a different opinion then go right ahead.

I'm just happy we finally got this figure at all.

That is fine, nothing wrong with agreeing to disagreeing.

For the price you pay, you shouldn't have to do the major fixing, you shouldn't have to go home and realize you have to take the range finder off and take the fin off the figure. Hasbro has the tools to make a accurate figure, all they had to do was pop a Phase 2 bucket (which they have plenty of) on top of the Echo body and they'd be done, instead they took the lazy way out and repainted Echo.

I'm mostly out of the Hasbro game but like to pick up the occasional figure here and there, they don't need to be perfect but this just screams laziness.

Oh I completely agree- for the prices we're paying we shouldn't be fixing figures.

But thats not how things are going. Like I said nearly all the figures I've purchased in the past year have required major fixes.

Removing a rangefinder and cutting off a fin is laughably minor in comparison to the other fixes I've had to make.

Kinda feel like I'm going in circles here.
 
And of course they had to blow it and use the wrong helmet. The baffling part here is that Jesse uses the standard phase 2 clone helmet, something Hasbro has already tooled up and used many times since 2020. The correct helmet would not require an iota of new tooling, all they had to do was reuse the right part and they botched it. I wouldn't expect any less of Hasbro these days. I was really anticipating this one in hopes they would have got this right.
 
My only issue with this figure is that it's a Walmart exclusive.

Honestly, if they used the standard Phase 2 Clone helmet, I see someone at the factory botching it and glueing the damn thing on since all the Clones that I can remember have glued on helmets.
 
Wasn't Echo a Walmart Exclusive as well? It seems to me that's the default home for repainted Clones from TCW era.
 
Echo was a Target exclusive with the rest of that Clone Wars wave. Those figures never went up for preorder and just started hitting retail. What a nightmare.

If they can not glue the normally glued down Stromtrooper helmet for the George Lucas Stromtrooper, they could have done it here as well. It's a shame they didn't
 
LOL, just saw another image of the helmet on Yak's IG.,.. now THAT is lazy, especially when they have the correct helmet ... my gosh ... they are really gunning for losing their customer base, or at the very least add another layer of frustration and bitterness.

All these missteps from them - not that it helps but I sincerely hope it's because it's mandated from the top down. I actually do think the team we always see are indeed fans. Well, at least Eric, Emily and Chris.

I’m so torn on this: on one hand, Hasbro have absolutely no excuses to not have gotten the helmet right, and I would love this to be accurate. On the other hand, I love the phase 1.5 helmet so much and wish they’d kept it for ARC troopers. Maybe I’ll just pretend this is from an alternate universe where they kept ARCs in phase 1.5 lol.
 
I get this all the time. multiple computers, phone, tablet, browsers. I have no clue. Walmarts cart just doesn't work for preorders sometimes. it's happened before too.

That sucks. Have you tried adding the item to your list by clicking the heart, and then adding it to cart from the list instead of the product page?
