I'd like to reiterate here that under no circumstance should an Official Pix volunteer be contacting any of the signing guests for any purpose. Nor should they be contacting potential guests to see if they will sign at CIV. Contracts and contract negotiations are confidential and are between the guests/potential guests and Official Pix. Please respect the privacy of the guests and respect my request.

Well that sounds like common sense to me but I suppose when it comes to star wars you never know to what lengths some peopel will go.

I was wondering, since the OfficialPix site has updated that one of the potential GOH will NOT be able to make it, could you let us in on who he/she was? It would greatly help narrow down the speculation for the last GOH.

The spec is that it's Mark who is the last hold out -

Well, I do have Harrison Ford's cell #... guess I can't call him now and request he come and sign. He does owe me a favor though.

Seriously, Anne, I'm shocked you would have to even post this. I guess you have people coming from all different sorts of places and because of that, they might not be as clued in. We'll keep watch!

All joking aside, I too find it sad that this had to be posted.

We OP volunteers have always been 'the best of the best! The men and women in Black ' (Ok, so much for 'all joking aside' - but Orange IS the new black!) and to harass and actor/potential guest is just... no...

This is the reason people like Hayden and Ewan and the others are afraid of 'fans', even those working in an 'official' capacity - the 'creepy' factor.

I mean, it's one thing to joke about, but initiating contact - especially as an unauthorized rep - is bad ju-ju.

PS - Maddona - when you 'call' Harrison, remind him that I'm over due for my pilot's lesson

That's a little frightening that some person(s) would do that. Maybe their hearts were in the right place, but still a bit misguided. Let's hope it was just a "fluke" occurence that won't happen again... for all our sakes and OPX.

I'm glad Anne posted this info. The more info. we have about, how best, we can do our jobs as Escorts, the better jobs we'll do. Remember, actors are people too, who want their lives as normal as possible without being bugged. We Escorts are to serve the actors the best we can. "What an Honor."
Thanks OPX and Anne

I can tell you from volunteering last celebration that MANY of the celebrities gave me their email address and contact info. I have been talking to them back and forth but ONLY as friends. The very day they posted the news about C4, I emailed all of them and let them know that I would not be in contact with them personally till after C4 to show respect to them and OPX.
I think ALL OPX volunteers should follow the same ethics code. Im sure Anne doesnt care if any of us communicate with the celebrities if they wish us too....but only AFTER the event and NEVER about OPX, star wars events, or job related subjects.

I completly agree...work is work and friends are friends. I learned that during my time of service on the armed forces. You never mix your relationships. Thanks Anne for posting this.
