I reckon it’ll just be a repack of the one we got with C-3PO.
I think it will use the same mold, but a Hoth Chewie.

Considering we need a Chewie sized mask I'd say we'd need him too. The SDCC set should have had masks for Leia and Chewie.
They already wasted the chance at giving Hoth Leia the mask in wave 1, I'm almost sure Chewie will be another straight repack.
I don't understand why they don't throw us loose collectors more of a bone with 40th.
Why Bespin Han instead of Hoth Han? Carded guys are gonna buy it no matter what, and most kf us would love photo real Hoth Han with his hat on and hood up. Retro Collection did Hoth Han.
They easily could make this Chewie worthwhile to us loose collectors with his some snow paint.
I have a little faith in the snow paint just because we already got the classic card for 40th ANH.

I assume it'll just be a previous release, with maybe some light snow painted on, so I'm probably going to pass, unless I find one cheap to try and make a custom generic wookiee warrior out of.
I hadn't thought of a Mynock Hunt masked Chewie, but that would be a neat way to mix it up.

For some reason Cheque figures are never really satisfying to me. So I don't need each and every release and will probably pass.
The Chewie that came in the two pack with 3-P0 is the definitive Chewie IMO, so I welcome a repack of that figure. I would prefer a Mynock Hunt Chewie vs the snow covered Chewie. That look just never comes out looking good.
Is there anything different about that Chewie other than the head?

Chewie is my favorite character. If this is the 3PO 2 pack with the new head and face print I'll pick it up as I never got the original ANH version. Boba and Chewie are the only ones I'm interested in keeping MOC.
I don’t care as long as he has a bowcaster.
He has the shorter more-accurate height that was introduced with the Solo version
I never noticed he was shorter, but sure enough I can see it from here on my shelves.
It doesn't help that I have Val from Solo randomly placed next to the blue box Chewie...
As YodaMan said, shorter body, new headsculpt, and his hands are much softer so he can actually hold a blaster or the bowcaster. Here's a comparison pic:

Was hoping they’d give it some sort of modified background to differentiate it from the ANH release. I get that’s its “accurate” but they altered the Luke card so I was hoping it could happen. I only keep these carded so might end up passing.

So this one is shorter than the previous Chewbaccas?
I hope so. Then maybe I'll be able to get one without messed up paint apps on the eyes. I got screwed twice with the Amazon 2-pack.

exactly the same figure from the Amazon exclusive that came with the broke C3PO and the cargo net from ESB, the rep at Hasbro confirmed yesterday on the live stream. no differences. however way different than the original Chewy, Episode VII, and Solo.100% pick up

I am so glad that they went this direction with this figure. I really love the Chewbacca from the deluxe pack with 3P0 and wanted another, but didn't want to have to buy a whole other deluxe set. Sooo glad that they didn't try to make him Snowbacca. I do wish they threw in an oxygen mask for him though.

Could be shadowy lighting tricks but it looks like the head paint is quite a bit more detailed (darker lips being the key item) than the 2-pack was. Just me?

yes he is (look at the few pictures on the C3PO and Chewy amazon exclusive), shorter and different head from the original, same as the Amazon exclusive, paint application looks to be the same, but will have to wait until is on hand. The head was new for the 2pack, and the torso have less sections/articulation to make it shorter, the original have multiple sections on the torso (too many).
Yeah, I can easily pass on this one.

Wish he has his oxygen mask or the Hoth snow... Seems like they don't want to give openers the slightest reason to rebuy these.
