I've been using $1.00 glass tumblers from Walmart as risers for awhile now , and have always loved how they look. But , I've only just recently started using mid size glasses from the Dollar Store too. I can't even explain how much better my displays look now ! Having the busts displayed at different levels , makes all the difference in the world ! If you guys want to add a fresh new look to your displays , I highly recommend picking up some cheap glasses and giving it a try ! Here's just a couple of quick shots to give you the basic idea. Thanks for looking.

These make your mini busts look really good.

Like you I have done something similar. I had a whole load of plastic risers made. Basically one set was double the height of the other and were inexpensive.

Here are some pics...

Looks good ! Anything you can do to give them some difference in elevation at low cost is the idea. Having my busts hidden back behind others used to drive me crazy ! Now they're up above and a more prominent part of my display , instead of being hidden in the back.

My wife and my mom buy a lot of these types of candles from B&BW (and similar sources), and they're always kind enough to clean them out when the candles burn through. Most of my risers are these turned upside down. Most are just slightly wider than a mini bust base. They would be expensive to buy just to get risers as an end result, but in this case they're free to me.
