I am too lazy to go through this thread but are there any unofficial meeting up times for scummers ? Maybe my wife will let me have a scum bbq for 150 people at our house 15 minutes away. She would let me. Then hand me divorce papers the next day........

I hate that I missed so many of my Scum friends at Celebration. There needs to be an unofficial Scum meet-up at the next one of these.
I agree I was there with the wife and kids so I was pre-occupied but it would have been nice to meet some Scum from the forums. Maybe next time.

THE PIN HUNT WAS CRAZY.

It must have been fun yet crazy and time consuming all in one. The store was insane. Best of a hard situation would be to have a separate part just for pins because that was the reason people went to the store in the am. Watching men women children of all ages and sizes "walk briskly" to the store was insanity.

Hope everyone had a great time. Time to go meet up with Beekman at Disneyland today. Which one of you out of towners brought clouds with you lol.

How Long Did You Wait In Line? When Did JJ&KK Reach Full Capacity?

I have a few questions to those of you who attended:

1. At what time did the arena fill up for the JJ&KK opening panel?

2. Did they cap the total line for all overflow rooms for the main panel? If so, at what time did they start turning people away? Did people wait in line who were not able to get into an overflow room, and if so, how long did they wait?

3. Besides the opening ceremony and the store, what line was the longest in which you waited? Did they cap that line, or did people wait in line and not get in?

I wanted to see the actual TFA props exhibit on Saturday, and here's how that went: I went up to that floor, asked everyone there what line they were in, finally found the one where people were telling me "actual props and costumes," got in line, waited an hour, got up to the door and the guy stopped people from entering right in front of me, and told me "Sorry, the panel room is at full capacity." I had been standing in a line for a panel about collecting original props and costumes, not waiting in line to get into the exhibit of original props and costumes. Then I finally found the correct line, got in line, and Mary Franklin capped the line six people behind me. I waited for four more hours and finally got in to see the TFA props and costumes. Mary said they were anticipating 60,000 over the weekend.

I have a funny story about waiting for the JJ/KK panel. My original plan was to get in line at midnight. After a 5 hour flight and 3 hour time change I decided I couldn't do it. I then made plans to be in line by 5. When the alarm went off I turned it off. So I got in line around 7-7:30. When we got to the queue room we were pushed into the digital stage line and told that all main stage wristbands had already been distributed. We came to terms with the fact that we were stuck in the digital stage. After waiting in line for about 30 minutes some staff came through the line and starting distributing main stage wrist bands. When we got the wrist band I overheard one of the staff that we needed to change lines because we were still in the digital stage line. I think I was the only person that heard him say that. I jumped out of line and asked him for clarification and he told me which line I needed to move to. I grabbed my group and we moved to the end of the main stage line that was barely half full. We got lucky and were sent to the first line that was released into the theater and we ended up with floor seats near the VIP section. Not bad for not getting in line until 7:30.

The force was with you for this Celebration. You got floor seating at JJ/KKK panel after showing up late, two hours after us. We ended up on the third level....still not bad seats. Then I wait in line since 0230 to get the Lego Exclusive and you show up late, how late I don't know, and end up right next to me to get the exclusive. Must be nice lol. I'm banking on a VIP or Exhibter badge for CVIII to avoid most of the madness.

The force was definitely with me this time around. Maybe it is making up for CVI. If my luck holds out I may try to get a VIP badge next time as well. I think my wife will veto the force in that case.

We ended up on the third level.
So, wow, people lining up at 5am still got into the main arena without a VIP badge. Do you know how many others were also able to get in behind you?

Does anyone know if all overflow rooms filled up and they turned people away who were in line before 10?

Thats at hard to say who got in what line and at what time since the lines were all wonky from the get go. There were still seats available when the panel started, but they must have capped it anyway.

There were still seats in the arena when the panel started, or there were still seats in the overflow rooms and people were still turned away?

I was pretty clear that they had not figured out the queueing procedure for the opening ceremony. Like ISDAvenger said the lines were wonky. There was no clear design as to which lines were sent in first and where they ended up. I got in line at 730 and was surrounded by people who had spent the night. It was a mess and people got screwed.

Well, I was in line around 3:30pm Friday afternoon. I'm not upset you got to walk right in, I'm happy you didn't need to sleep on the ground, it's not conducive to a good nights rest!! :) I'm really not upset. I made many new friends during the time I spent in line. We had a lot of fun. We had pizza for JJ/KK. Though I will say, at 52, I don't have too many more nights of sleeping on concrete left in me. Things hurt the next day that I didn't know could hurt!

Did the arena ever completely fill? Did they turn any away from the overflow rooms?
This is just my impression, but I don't think the arena was completely full. I saw a lot of empty seats on the extreme sides of the 300 sections. I myself got in line at 4am and ended up in the 300 section (a volunteer escorted us that way). I heard that other people (besides the one already mentioned above) who didn't show up until after 7am got to go in the first lines due to how they made everyone stand up when they issued wristbands and so those huge lines ended up with all that space at the end, so they filled it with latecomers.

By comparison, the JAT/Hamill panel on Saturday was totally full (I heard they capped that line around 2 hours before its 6pm start time). I didn't see any empty seats at that one. That was the one that upset me because I got in the queue at 1:30 because I wanted a floor seat for that one. But when we got moved to that area with the numbered tape strips on the floor, they let the later lines along the wall go in before me (a volunteer lead them around to the other entrance and all those people took the floor seats on the right side...they did the same thing during the Anthony Daniels panel the night before). So I ended up in the 200 sections for that. Personally, I don't think any of the lines for any panel in the arena I went to between Thursday and Saturday were fair.
