Who’s purchasing this figure?

This figure is Fire! Glad I picked up several of those X-Wing Lukes when Walmart had them on clearance. Use the arms to make a non-jacketed version of this figure. Possibly also use a POTJ head and helmet to update Porkins, since the Movie Heroes version is rare and expensive. I'll have to look back at my Dark Horse comics to see if any Rogue Squadron pilots wore a flight jacket and make customs of them as well.

Hasbro hit this one out of the park. Love everything about both the figure and the packaging. Don't even care if he's not wearing the jacket in the film-out. The orange of the figure against the turquoise swatch is chef's kiss. Plan to preorder three, maybe more.

See, I'm glad to have the figure, but I'd have either had him in just the flight suit or just the uniform - this mix-and-match look makes me uncertain where Appa's supposed to go.

It's funny they went with his flight suit without the jacket for the card back. I didn't realize how much I wanted this figure until I saw it. It looks great, and the Hasbro team put a lot of effort into it. This one might've been my favorite reveal on the live stream.

It is interesting how they opted for the jacket release first. It's cool, though. I think it was a good decision.

Also, it's nice to have an updated mold for the more stockier pilots. It does open up the potential for future figures like Trapper Wolf and a new Jek Porkins. Heck, I'm pretty confident we'll get a release of Carson Teva without his jacket. Whether that shows up in a multipack, with his X-Wing, or something else is anyone's guess.

Very excited for this figure, and it's nice to knock off another top March Madness figure.

This isn't a figure I "need" in my collection, even though I have a ton of Mando stuff, but he looks so great, detailed and unique, that I will definitely be buying him.

Maybe I'm totally misremembering this, but didn't they include the "Okay, see you" phrase in Aurebesh either on his helmet or on his X-Wing somewhere?

Though i'm pretty much in the same boat as you and would have preferred Hasbro to go with flight suit sans jacket or New Republic officer with jacket, at least this version is actually featured in the Mandalorian series.

Hopefully, we'll be getting those other two outfits along the way. Flight suit Teva could even be packed with his X-Wing.

Just watch, the flightsuit only version will come on a cardback with the leather jacket picture.

This reveal really pleased me, finally after years of waiting. I also got a kick out of Paul's reveal of it, added a bit of fun to the stream. Glad they did this.
The figure did turn out very well and I'm also glad he's not DLX! lol
Now I can buy a few to do some head swaps of a couple larger head I've got laying around. Like Umpass-Stay, that's a real big one I've never found a decent sized body for. Until now!

I can't say if he's my favorite reveal because I've wanted both Kallus and Ventress for longer, and those two look really good as well. I think Carson is aided by the fact he's a "real person" that embodies the character where the other two are only animated.
Now Teva just needs his drinking buddy, Zeb.

Which I think we will definitely get, because he's in M&G wearing essentially the same outfit.
I'm kind of curious if they will just reuse Carson's pelvis and upper legs? Looks like They'd be the same thickness and save on tooling for the big guy.

I'm in for three. One to keep carded, because it looks awesome. One to mod into just the flight suit, and make use of an extra pair of Luke pilot arms, and one to keep as it is.

Can’t wait to fill another hole in my collection with this donut of a man

Carson is like Dan Fogler's muggle character Jacob in the Fantastic Beasts films or Jon Favreau's Happy in the Marvel series

Just a regular joe surrounded by overpowered edgelords. Love their vibe, will happily grab 'em. Likeness looks great!

To me, Carson Teva is a bit like parsley. I don't mind him, he's always just kind of "there", but he doesn't really add anything of value. If he went away tomorrow, I would scarcely notice or care.

I'd definitely skip on this figure, yet another orange-suited X-Wing pilot, (yawn), if not for one feature: the jacket. The jacket is a unique and damn cool addition. Who knows, maybe I'll give the jacket to another character some day or use the arms to make a TLJ Poe Dameron. Or just have a more stylish pilot join the X-Wing ranks.

I'll admit it: you got me, Hasbro.

Yeah, Carson doesn’t do anything for me. In fact, I sort of dislike how he keeps popping up everywhere, which is undoubtedly due to Paul Sun-Hyung Lee being buddies with Filoni. The figure will make for great customs, though. The jacket and headsculpt in particular.

I like both the character and the figure. But I agree, every time I see him onscreen it's like "Is he the only X-Wing pilot left? How is he EVERYWHERE?"

It's too bad Denis Lawson is too old now. Given the time frame, this would have been a great opportunity to cast Rogue Squadron and have them show up any time the Republic needs a 'troubleshooter'. That way they also wouldn't need to rely on the same actor time and time again.

Pretty cool. I think flight suit alternate arms would have put this in home run territory

In the March Madness thread, I said that Carson is basically a highlighted background character for the TV shows.

Even a reference or shout out to Wedge would be nice. Maybe even bring him in audio only, whatever, just something. The only real new Wedge content was when Lawson came back to do Squadrons.

I was at a point where I was pretty much done with The Mandalorian figures, unless they make Peli.
I may have to pick this up though. It's a great looking figure.
Probably 2. Swap out the arms and use the head and helmet from POTJ to make a new Porkins.

I'm pretty ambivalent towards the character of Carson, but the figure looks solid. He's just like...a guy. Obviously he's smarter than a lot of the other New Republic people, but he still feels a bit generic to me.

Why would you need to do that? Just wait for the inevitable "retool". I have a feeling Luke's skinny arms on this figure is going to look slightly odd.

I like Paul, enjoy Teva as a character, and absolutely love this figure.
This! He knows how to bring his own charm into the role, meanwhile we've got charisma lacking Pedro as the lead that I have zero interest in. Might as well be a robot.

I like the “every man” appeal of Carson Teva. It’s pretty much the same as the other Rebel pilots. They’re mostly ordinary guys who can pilot futuristic vehicles.

It’s also fun to have another recurring pilot like Wedge. I’m unsure if that’s an intentional throwback, but I like it. I know they tried it with Snap Wexley in the ST, but that one didn’t resonate with me as much.

Didn't help that Snap was played by a friend of Abrams and therefore only showed up in his two films. Had he showed up in TLJ, we could've had a similar vibe. Hell, Wedge even adopted him in the new canon, so they were clearly going for a substitute

I think Snap is in the cockpit of one of the escape pods at the beginning of TLJ. Apparently the novel that came out before TROS established Snap as Wedge's stepson.

I dimly remember a guy that looks a lot like Snap in TLJ, but relegated to the sidelines/background. Don't know if it was him or just a lookalike.

What's up with all this Carson hate? Sounds like a bunch of grousing ISB cronies in here! I like Paul, enjoy Teva as a character, and absolutely love this figure. Will be ordering four today. Let's go, Teva!!🎉🇰🇷🇨🇦🎉
I like the figure, I like Paul. But Carson is a big blank. He's just, as others have said, a "guy." Shrug.
