His outfit here looks a little like Han's Hoth outfit.

His outfit is in the celebration teaser that was just put out last week...Not sure why he's running around in a desert with a winter coat on...
Is the coat blue....or brown?
I hope his hat comes off, like Jyn's hood does. Anyway, he and Jyn (and maybe the Death Trooper) are pretty much definite buys but they may be the only ones from R1 who are.

The coat he probably mostlly wears in the Iceland "Tundra" landscape, and then eventually ditches it on Jehda.
I would have preferred his main 6" figure be the Yavin outfit.
Or what appears later to be the sniper vest, which he wears apparently throughout the tropical planet.
I think the sniper vest, and bullet cartridge belt, above^ would have been my preferred look for his main figure.
It looks like this release of Cassian Andor will almost certainly be in the blue coat from the teaser photo. I certainly hope that the hat/helmet is removable.

This was posted in the forum (not sure where it originally came from) but it does reveal the 6" Captain Cassian Andor in his blue outfit.
Any thoughts on this figure?

The outfit comes loaded, hopefully they don't skimp on all his gear.
Yes. And I actually posted a photo of the character in the costume that most closely resembles that incredibly lo-res product offering image.

Do people not want source pictures of potential variant costumes, collected in the character thread? Besides the first image released of the "Tundra" Iceland landscape, there is also the Yavin Rebel Captain outfit, and the Sniper vest?

The first imagery of Diego Luna wearing an Imperial officer uniform (or at least in part) was in the first teaser, as he is running through the set on the Canary Wharf, London location. And in that scene he appears to be with Jyn Erso and K-2SO. The trousers and the jackboots are dead giveaways that it's some sort of Imperial officer's uniform. But then, that's another figure.

Yep trying to piece a time line, after infiltrating the base in disguise....
And escaping through Canary Wharf, where he ditches the jacket and now see Jyn carrying the DS plans...
At some point they reconnect with the Rebels, on the tropical beach front, and Andor ads the bullet-belt and satchel to that now jacket-less Imperial disguise ....
Which carries over into tropical beach AT-ACT attack scene, where Jyn is still carrying what are likely the DS plans, and Andor continues with that look....
What I can't place is where he would get the "sniper jacket" look?
Andor is actually who seems to have the most uniform variations. Whether that means more figures for him probably depends on how popular (or not) his character is.
Jyn apparently (check her thread for more images) has 3, the 1. standard "Han Solo" look, 2. the Poncho, hat and goggles look, and 3. the Imperial disguise.
Andor from what we've seen (guessing on the order here) so far has got:
1. the main blue Tundra jacket (first figure) which he's still wearing on Jedha,
2. the main mission launch brown Yavin Rebel Captain outfit,
3. which at some point gets the vest and bullet belt added to it (the sniper look figure I want the most),
4. the imperial disguise, (maybe in a two-pack with Jyn also in disguise)
5. and the Imperial disguise now sans-Jacket, with added bullet-belt and satchel...

I'm sure a number of collectors would once the movie releases, but this is the 6" inch line. How many versions of Cassian do you really think they will do? This should have been a different version/outfit for sure. I'm just speculating, but I don't think this is the look everyone will want most. Not sure why Hasbro continues to do this???

I wouldnt be overly surprised to see him and Jyn get at least two variations. Last year for example, you could get Poe in the x-wing outfit, and they released him in the two-pack with his normal jacket. I suspect Cassian will get the same treatment. I'd almost guarantee Jyn in her TIE-fighter pilot outfit will get released too. Hasbro loves reusing molds to death.

Yeah I also would have preferred one of his other more unique looking outfits, preferably the brown Yavin Uniform (or with the "sniper" vest).
The other characters are recruits outside the ranks of the commissioned Rebels, so they really stand out, him being the official "Rebel Alliance" designate of the group, seems to be the one most meant to visually call back to the original trilogies to better tie it in with familiar Rebel uniforms.
And this is the figure they chose to do it with.
It's still quite visually distinct though, so I'm more than glad to get it.
Plus with these 3 initial releases, although we don'rt know how long the trio travel together, it right away allows for a posing display of what's likely going to be one of the films more fun dynamics. :grin:

Star Wars Celebration, during the R1 interview panel they showed it as Tudyk was describing his character.
Ah, very cool. Don't know how I've missed that up until now.
I hope we see a few different figures with the different costumes. Some seem to think that the line for R1 will be small, but I really hope they do the characters justice.

I heard two rumors, one that only 8 initial figures would be made for Rogue One, and another rumor where there would be 12. Out of the gates there are 6 confirmed (Deathtrooper, Cassian, Jyn, K2SO, Krennic, and another Stormtrooper type figure).
If they were to do 12, then they could also add Saw Garerra, Baze, Chirrut, Bodhi, Pao, and Bistan so that all the mains are done. It seems that Bistan is already getting a reputation, since it looks like that character is played by warrick davis and was shown prominently at Celebration. But no rumor that he'd be made into a figure.

sign me up for Bistan,lol. I'm hoping the trend continues with Hasbro to stagger the lines...main movie focus with previous films sprinkled in and I'm not talking rerelease like another ren or rey Hasbro!
I recently heard Warrick Davis is NOT playing one of the 2 primary aliens (and height does not match). I do agree that the 2 shown would make great figures!

I like the look of the Captain, I still wish they made a Hoth rebel solider as I just love the uniform. Do you think the numbers will continue from where they left off we they start over at 1?

It's already confirmed Jyn Erson is 22, and Unmasked Kylo is 26. So, they continue where they last left off. I almost doubt we see them change the package again with these new films.

Really want to love this figure, the Hoth Uniforms always made the Rebels feel established, which I love. But the blue they used on the figure is so bright and like Han it takes away from it. Looks more muted in the prop pictures, wish it was closer to the right color
^ I hear you. Generally Hasbro seems to at least get the base color plastics accurate, so I'm hoping it's just the photo.

It picks up some variety depending on the lighting and what's around it, anywhere somewhere between would be fine.
If this is an in-hand figure and not a test shot, they seem to have nailed it pretty close for the release.
