Cantina Showdown Multipack

Rebelscum have posted that we might be seeing a "Cantina Showdown" multipack soon as it has appeared in the UK TRU system for £39.99 ($67 USD). No further information is available at this time.

Any ideas on what this pack will include?

I assume the distillery with all repacks (Ponda is a good possibility), but I'm hoping for Mosep.

These interest me the most though, as it's a chance for some possible updates. As well as some dio pieces, be nice to finally get the alcove!

However, based on the figure lineup and image of the Endor set. All being repacks. The "Cantina Showdown" might just be Han, Chewy, Luke, Ben, Dr. Evazan, and Ponda.
With possibly a couple Tables and bar pieces? Would they even sculpt a new accessory for this (the alcove)? Or possibly contain any new figures, or even updates of a couple of them?

I just don't know what to make of this yet, my hopes are up. But based on that Endor set, I have a bad feeling about this one.

At $39.99, I'm betting Luke & Ben from the Resurgence Battle Pack, TVC Ponda Baba & Evazan and a table from Trinto Duaba, or whoever it was.

Extremely overoptimistic! That price will get you 4 SA figures and a bit of bar if you're lucky.

Clearly the showdown will be between a POTF2 Wuher vs 3P0(ROTS) and AOTC light up R2.

I'm sure Ponda Baba will be in it for those that missed the last (awesome) one, but I hope they dont waste a slot on rereleasing Dr Evazan. You know Luke and Ben will be in it. Maybe we can get a Ben update as well?

But those two are a team, you can't have Ponda w/o Evazan. lol And IMO, Ben Kenobi doesn't need an update. That last figure was definitive enough for me. if they wan tto update something, how about Tattooine Luke's legs! That's where the Money would be better spent, IMO.

Mosep would be cool, and probably fairly cheap to do. But if they want my money, it has to include an alcove. I could even pass on a new Wuher if it meant getting that piece.
All the other accessories are moot w/o it.

Walrus Man, Evazan, Luke, and Ben are a lock. My guess is the long-rumored center bar piece w/ distillery will make up the rest of the cost.

At the very least, you can bet on only one set of Ponda's hands being included instead of the 2 sets that came with the VC release.

Given the name, Showdown, it's a lock on ponda, obi, luke, evazan. The real question is what else. Sadly I think a fifth alien is unlikely. Distillery or wuher seems like a safer bet IMO. Not loving that but looking forward to seeing if I am right.

Maybe this will just re-release the Kmart bar counters and stools with the TAC parts plus ponda,obi wan,etc like everyone was saying. Sorry if anyone has already suggested this.I really hope it's the distillery though.

I believe Hasbro basically confirmed at one point that they had a new Wuher and the distillery piece finished, but they needed to find a way to get it out. They ruled out that as a single-carded figure with large accessory, so maybe this pack is it.

I'd assume this pack will be about $40 in the US. It seems to be a common trend from Hasbro to keep the numbers the same, but in different currencies.

For $40, I could see Wuher and the distillery along with Ponda and Luke and probably Evazan and Obi-Wan.

However, a cantina alcove with Greedo and Han would be cool as well.

Any time I hear the word showdown the first mental image I have is of 2 cowboys facing each other down on a dusty street with six-shooters, so when I heard the title of this pack I too thought of Han/Greedo simply due to the blasters. Guess we'll find out soon.

I missed Ponda, so I am pulling for him.

I totally forgot about Greedo, got to hung up on the other showdown. The Ben scene was definitely a little more epic IMO, than Han shooting Greedo. people shoot Blastes all the time, but you don't see someone whip out a Lightsaber very much! I suppose they could throw in a repack of him too, to cover all bases. lol

But we are definitely NOT seeing the Tonnika Sisters...

Sadly enough, Hasbro has been putting out so few all-new characters that I would pay 40 bucks for a set even if it only had one all-new figure. The worst part? I would probably buy an extra for custom parts, too....

Maybe it'll be the AOTC cantina showdown, so they could release PT Obi-wan and Anakin again, along with death sticks guy and Zam Wessell.

My expectations are very low after the Endor set. I'm guessing it'll be the Ponda Baba showdown, as I'd be hard pressed to come up with 4-5 figures for the Greedo scene. Maybe Han, Greedo, Chewie, Sandtrooper, and Wuhrer? I don't know how appealing the Ponda set would be, given that Evazan was such a peg warmer.

Either way, I doubt that we'll get even one new figure after seeing the Endor set. Which is a shame, after the rumors of Mosep and Tzzizzvit. Of course, I'll probably still get this, being cantina-obsessed.

Never owned him but the ole POTF2 Wuher is still looking pretty good. The head is pretty spot-on in capturing the essence of the overworked surly dude.
